I received a call from a man at my place of employment threatening to serve me court papers if I did not call this 888-660-6476. When I called them they identified them selves as Friedman and associates, a mediation firm. They said if I didn't pay them today I would be charged with a attempt to defraud a financial institution and court fees and so on...I told them I wanted a verification of debt and they directed me to there website friedmanadr.com/my file to get that info. When I proceeded to do that it kept saying I entered the wrong information. I know my social and it wasn't wrong. Lets just say weeks have gone by and I have not been served and they just keep calling me to collect. I filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission with hopes that they get shut down. This company is a scam and DO NOT Pay them any money.

I did a loan with CASHWEBUSA which I put a stop payment on after paying them back more double the loan amount.  CASHWEB USA is an illegal lender in the United States

I called this Friedman and Assoc after they called my work stating I am going to jail (NOT) and talked to a Gloria James, she was a real c*** and acted like she was a lawyer or something and refused to give me much info.

I did get an address from her, but she got very angry when I asked for a local number.

Nikki you are absolutely correct there was a lady told me she was a deputy processor for Mack Investigations in the Kansas City area???  I traced the number to Ladue, MO which is in St. Louis, MO  St. Charles Co. MO which is almost 4 hours away.  So their game is a little slow.

People will call various parts of the country from verizon phones.  These people that are using these phones are their field workers for Friedman and Associates

These people started calling me today from a NC number looking for my dad or my brother, and asking to speak with them. One lives across the country and one is the next state over and I haven't been around either one in at least 4 years. What I don't yet understand is 1 how they got the number to call me instead of them, and 2 they didn't even really know which one they were looking for. I gave them a fake location and they agreed that was the correct area, when I already knew that they didnt live anywhere near the area I told the company. The call back number for them now though is 1-888-229-8303.

yes, this sounds like the same company that has been calling me.  Repoort them to the FTC.Gov. eventually they will give up and move on.  Dont worry they are nothing and highly illegal.

They called me looking for a family member. They left a voice mail saying the same things. However my outgoing VM says Im clearly not the person they are looking for. So to put all that info on VM...opps...I am hip to the FTC so I went ahead and filed a complaint.

i too am receiving calls from someone from freeman and associates stating they are going to serve me for charges filed against me.  they even have called the human resourses dept and my boss.  is this legal?  they call me telling me this is my final warning before they bring papers to my work.  has anyone ever been served by these people.  if i call back the number they call from it states they are not accepting calls. how can i get them to stop.

these people are calling me too. i was a little nervouse til i found this site. I have received, as has my friend, these same threatening calls, disclosing on two separate voicemail lines my place of employment, looking for personal information, etc.  They end both of these calls saying things like "YOU HAVE BEEN OFFICIALLY NOTIFIED".  I will not give them any information.  I am glad I read this page before I got scared.

DO NOT GIVE THEM THIS INFO. they are in violation of the FDCPA federal debt collection practice act by 1. threatning you 2. threatning you on a vm and disclosing what that matter of the call is on a vm that  might not even be yours 3. stating they are lawyers this is called impersonation of  a lawyer or officer which is against the law. I did take a loan out from cash call wich a month later was sold to western sky financial then i lost my job and been unemployeed since then and have no way to pay them back i had calls from cash call whom had said they sold my account to westernsky financial after i went delinquent then they said they would settle me for 1200  out of the 2500 i owed them and if i was unable to pay them off they would be selling my debt to a collection agency whom would try to collect on the account they would buy from them. I have tried to locate this so called law firm and no luck. all info is invalid.. i have tried to look them up in florida corporation commission and also in california and found nothing.. here is some info that might also help

i called cash call and westernsky financia today at 1866-590-2274 and per there charge off department they only sell there debt to national credit adjusters # 1800 835 9313 and they do not call nor harrass any one nor ask you for personal information or tell you they will sue you and once they sell your account to national credit adjusters which is a normal collection agency they will only try to collect on the account.  SO DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT GIVE FREEMAN AND ASSOCIATES ANY MONEY OR PERSONAL INFO.  CASH CALL WESTERN SKY FINANCIAL SAID THIS COMPANY IS FRAUDULENT AND DO NOT TRUST ON THEM THEY ONLY WORK WITH NATIONAL CREDIT ADJUSTERS.
