They just called using a computer voice. They did NOT identify themselves, so I hung up on them.
Now days, NOBODY in their right mind is going to spout personal info to someone they have no clue who it is.

One would think a company like Optum RX would know better. VERY low class.

This number is confirmed as OptumRx (formerly Prescription Solutions and/or MedicareRx). This is the on-line pharmacy associated with United Health Care via AARP. They should only be calling you if you use them as your on-line pharmacy via the companies listed.

As a side note, Customer Service at OptumRx is unbelievably bad which probably accounts for their not leaving voice mail. OptumRx likes to import drugs from Canada which makes them cheap and not subject to either Canadian and/or American (FDA) inspections. Both United Health Care and AARP should be ashamed to be associated with them. Check them out by typing "OptumRx complaints" into Google. Over 400 complaints at a single web site!

Legitimate company... Optum Rx. They handle mail order drug prescription delivery. I use them as I have a Drug Plan from my former employer when I retired. They usually call to let you know a prescription has been shipped or to remind you of upcoming Rx renewals. I don't know why you would receive a call from them if you have no association with them.

Prescription Solutions has changed it name to OptumRx and yes they are the good guys. I get my scripts from them and they work with Medicare and Medicaid. They do not solicit.

This is Prescription Solutions that changed its name to OptumRx. They are a legitimate business. Its a mail order prescription company I use them all the time. They are fabulous. Deliver your prescriptions directly to your home, its so easy. They call to let you know when a script is coming up to be refilled and after you order they call to let you know that the scrip has been refilled and is in the mail and about when to expect it. Their prices are great and they honor Medicare and medicaid. If you got any other message with this number then the lines got crossed. I've been using this company for several years and no problems from them at all.

Does anyone have trouble ordering pills for optumrx? they keep telling us we need new scripts when our Dr.says he has sent in scripts for a year.  We have to bother the Dr office and have new scripts sent in, wait about 4 days and call Optum again to see if they received them.  we are seriously thinking of changing ins. next time.

This is a mail order prescription service company for United Healthcare. I am a member and they will call to let a member know it is time to reorder a prescription or to let a member know their medicine has shipped.

I know them only as a legitimate prescription service, which I sometimes use, and have not received any abusive or unwanted calls from that number.

I use Prescription Solutions (now Optum Rx) to order my prescriptions and have them delivered to my home.  Any calls I received from this number were legitimate.  They also call with a recorded message to let me know that I have a prescription that is coming up for renewal.

If you got a call from a telemarketer, it might be that they hacked in on Prescription Solutions line just to get people to answer the phone and stay on it for a minute or so.  I'm pretty sure Prescription Solutions didn't do that themselves.

This is a legitimate call for United Health Rx service and is intended for those using the service.

Someone just called from 877-889-5802 and asked for me daughter. Told him she didn't live here anymore and then he had the never to ask for better number or address. When husband asked who they were he said he could only say *** Recovery?  but he sure wanted info from us. Told him NOT to call here anymore.  
(He did not say anything about Prescription Solutions because I belong with them as well.)

2/29/2012 I missed this call but my caller I.D. just showed it as TOLL FREE. . . I am a member with Prescription Solutions so I checked my file for them and looked at a list of numerous numbers and this one was there for Medicare customers.  I called it and it was all automated. . .Asked fo my information.
Put me on hold.  Asked for my ID again. . Left me on hold.. .Asked if I wanted to take part in a survey. . .(NO ! !) back on hold telling me all reps were busy. . .I know I have 2 Rx's that I can re-fill as of today so I guess this was a reminder but I also got one in the mail yesterday. . . . Then I get another message of how easy it was to refill on line and how to do it right now. . .I already know that as I do refill on line. . . then back on hold again,  so I hung up and don't expect to ever call this number again.

I truly got an Unknown Caller on my phone & when I dialed back my Caller ID spit out this no. 1-877-889-5802 which belongs to a legitimate Rx company.

But the caller from this line, who sounded like an telemarketer from India, claimed that he was from ??? (something that I couldn't catch) technical services and inquired whether my PC was fine or had a virus.  I knew instantly that there was something NOT right at all, so I did NOT disclose any information and curtly terminated the conversation.  

How does this RX Solutions no came to that of a telemarketer trying to tell me that my PC is infested?  I run all anti-virus software programs, daily & regularly.  So watch out - I had the same issue as you.  I can validate this, for sure.

Number came up as unavailable - I was told I had a virus on my pc and the women asked for me to power on my PC so she could fix it.  I think NOT!

The number belongs to Prescription Solutions.  If you've had a prescription filled through them, it's a reminder call that it's nearing time to reorder.  They'll sometimes call three weeks ahead.
