Taking advantage of the paranoia from the Target breach no doubt. I received a letter saying the same thing. No where on any of the paperwork does it identify which account and why. (Only identity theft protection). Scumbags. Hope they all get epic diahrea.

Received a letter from Great Fun inviting me to claim $20 cash back on my recent purchase. The address is PO Box 41246, Nashville, TN 37204. The back of the letter has boxes to fill out asking for Today's Date, First Name, Last Name, Address, Apt.#,/Building #, City, State, zip. Terms & Conditions. Then I'm supposed to send this form to Rebate Department, PO Box 6170, Westerville, OH 43086-6170. I couldn't think of what I had recently purchased, had no idea who this company is. The fine print says Great Fun is a service provided by Trilegiant Corp, registered mark of Affinion Publishing, LLC. So, I googled them, got their company information & phone number.
http://investing.businessweek.com/research/st ... ivcapId=1528213
I called them and asked where/how they got my information and what is this rebate about. Carmen in customer relations told me it was from my recent internet purchase of tickets on Allegiant Airlines. The link above also mentions that they are being sued. I don't trust them & certainly do not intend to send them any further information as they may start charging my credit card for some bogus service I don't want.
Buyers must beware & be aware. Before you do anything, google the company. You can find almost anything on Google.

This address belongs to "buyers Advantage which is a scam. they get you when you are purchasing somethign and they ask you if you want to try their service for $1.
Buyers Advantage *with an "S" is a scam
but
Buyer Advantage is affiliated with Bank of America and they will ask you to try for $1 when you activate your card. If you bank with B of A you can file a claim and get your money back immediately! worked for me

Abby-
Thank you for the information. You are correct. The $12.99 per month charge on a provided
credit card is a scam.
The so-called Processing Center in Nashville has no name and the telephone numbers vary.
BUYER BEWARE........BEWARE.......BEWARE
Liz 2010-07-20 19:59:49 Unknown
I recieved a letter from this processing center with the phone number 1-800-760-1281. Said I still owed $129.99 towards my Great Fun benefits...what ever those are...says I can't continue my benefits if I don't give them my credit card number, which also authorizes them to charge this amount to them. Smelled like FRAUD to me! When I 1st opened it I thought it was the remainer of a E.R. bill I had and sent it to our office with my husband...thankfully he brought it back home to ask me about this...since I had not really read the whole thing...and right away I could see how someone might think it is a bill, like mine, and pay it without reading the whole thing. And I was shocked to receive something looking like we had not paid off the bill, which we have. So beware this can catch you off guard in our busy lives. I will report this!
Nano 2010-07-20 02:20:41 Unknown

Fake company!! I have reported them. Please report them to www.ftc.gov before more people lose money.

I got the same thing. 75 dollar charge on my card from this number and cant get them to answer. did you find anything out about this?
Tom 2009-06-11 00:17:42 Unknown
Received a charge on my credit card and can't determine reason. No response + since it's a 'Third Party Vendor Transaction', credit card company won't let me dispute charge.
