Follow up: Nothing ever transpired from this.. Just another penny to dollar debt buyer trying to use fear tactics to collect on expired & non-validated debts.

I had 5 missed calls from a blocked number within under 5 mins. When I finally answered it, a man named Joe Romero started off saying that there were 2 charges being filed against me. He never said who he was, what county, the company he represented nor who he/or his firm was calling on behalf of. He only mentioned a "case" number (RG*****599) and that if I didn't call the 877-228-5844 within an hour then he would have to move on with the paperwork. By the time I got to the office, I had a new voice mail with him saying he hasn't heard anything from (I'm assuming Coyne Trace) and that he had spoken with my work's HR department on serving me papers then ended the voice mail with "the best of luck to you".

I got a call from Joe Romero. He left a voicemail not stating where he was calling from but told me that two charges were filed against me. I called the 1-877 number. They wanted personal information that they claimed that they already had.I did not give them ANY information.  I most definitely believe that this is some type of scam.

Week of 6/25/2012, received harrassing phone calls on VM from a man (no name given) stating that I have a claim against me filed with them and to call immediately or would be in big trouble.  I called the number of 877-904-1718 and spoke to a foreign man who immediately started asking me questions like wanted soc sec number and drivers license number and two phone numbers to verify who I am before he would explain details of the issue to me, to which I responded I was giving him nothing as I have no idea who CTS is and, to my knowledge, have never done business with them nor would I ever.  He was very rude and then as the week progressed called my direct work #, my supervisor's #, the main departmental #, then called our H/R manager on 6/26/12 and was very hateful to both my immediate boss and H/R Mgr but would not explain anything to either of them (legally he could not anyway even if I had business with a particular company) and when they both told this man they could not discuss my personal business with him, he hung up on both of them.  Our H/R Mgr called the police and they came to talk to me to see if I needed help or protection as they were concerned for me.  I called our local sheriff's office, the County Court Clerk's Office, and my attorney and they all told me to contact the Ky Attorney General's Office -- which I did on 6/28/12.  I have been advised that these are illegal calls and scam deals and, furthermore, that legally they cannot call my place of employment or supervisors and if they have a valid claim they must file it through the county attorney's office, I would be notified in writing, and then I would have 30 days to deal with the issue if it is legit.  I spoke with a woman with CTS in GA on 6/27/12 who told me she had no idea who was calling about me and I told her who all I reported them to and she hung up on me!  This group needs to be legally stopped and sued if possible for workplacement harrassment and illegal scam calling.

They left a message on my VM a man by the name of Mike Watts. He left the number as well as some type of reference number. I called and an automated number and a machine asked me to leave a message. I am not leaving a message nor am I giving them any information over the telephone!  Sounds fishy. Serve papers smh

Was called into my HR department today being told that Joe Romero from the above number contacted my company's legal department - that they need to serve me papers.  Called the number and I got a company called CTS - stated that they are a mediation firm.  Told me that this was for an old payday loan (one I don't remember getting) but would not provide me with any sort of documentation.  They wanted my checking account number over the phone but I would not provide them.  When I asked who Joe Romero was because I am not too happy that they are calling my employer - was told that they don't know - probably with a third party process server they hire.  When I refused to give my information without somesort of verification was told that I will just be served papers.

Any one else have issues with this company?  

Can not believe he called my legal department.
