I have been getting calls for the last four years saying I had written a bad check on a bank I have never had an account at.  I keep telling them this and they keep calling sporadically. They gave me a case file number and said it was my responsibility to respond.

Don - That's very shady. It sounds completely like a scam. The guy who called me said his name was Randy Walker and that because he left this message, it was my legal duty to call back the number. Needless to say, I'm not calling.

They called this morning and my privacy manager from my phone service caught it, I accepted it and the lady told me they were a law firm trying to collect on a debt through a payday loan company, when I asked what the company name was she told me and I knew I had recently settled the debt. The lady told me that was not possible since they had it, so I told her to take me to court, I went down into my file cabinet and found the paperwork from the payoff and called the lady back and she still tried to tell me that it was not possible, I told her to take me to court then and I would show up with all my paperwork since she could not produce the paperwork concerning the matter. SCAM, SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This number did not call but 859-547-1810 left a message on my answering machine to call 877-913-1810 about some sort of "fraud" issue. Sounds like a scam to me. Anyone else know about this?
