There's a strong possibility that the company involved with this scheme is Airductor Solution in Rolling Meadows, Illinois.

Last year I was getting those "Diane" calls everyday, for weeks, about "free" ductwork and carpet cleaning for a $49.99 "donation." I called Airductor Solution's number (855)300-9208 to request the calls to stop, but I was hung up on by the person who answered. I emailed them and received no responses as well.

Airductor Solution's Yelp rating under filtered reviews is incredibly poor.

I've been recently getting those "Diane" at "Carpet Care" calls again. I tried speaking to a woman who answered, but once I asked what her name was she hung up on me. My gut feeling is that Airductor Solution is still the culprit behind this scheme.

What I got from her point is if they want to rob people for money why spend the money first to make an appointment? Its not efficient and clearly it doesn't always necessarily yield in an any rewards.  There's more risk than reward factor.

Also "Calling around for victims costs almost nothing" how would you know? Phone bills are not cheap, specially in the large scale span of telemarketers who probably call thousands of people a day. If its even a penny per minute that's a 1,000 dollars on its own.  I don't know what world you live in but 1,000/day isn't cheap.  And that's just under the impression that the call is one penny per minute and it only takes a minute per call. Not only this, how would they have time to both call people AND go and rob them during broad daylight?

VOIP phone calls with spoofed Caller ID can't be traced. License plates can. Calling around for victims costs almost nothing. This is so strange I seer the above post after I just asked this company that call from 8779287770 and 7082520373 to leave my home in IL suburb after they set up appointment and came to my house letting all of tools out and starting to clean my vents while the other guy distracted me showing me dust and saying i needed to pay $500 to fix my problem they would not take no for and answer so I called my neighbor to come over and as soon as they saw him they packed their things and drove off in an un marked white van.  I called the 8779287770 to ask who reported to my house and no return call, I am calling the police as well.

What in the world made you -- or anyone -- think that any offer that comes in on an unsolicited ILLEGAL phone call is legitimate? Only criminals make calls like this. If one of them was wandering around your house without anybody watching him, you might want to figure out what he was stealing at the time.

This outfit solicited my business from 877-928-7770 to "clean all the ducts in your house for $48.95" (as long as from one furnace). Wanted to come next day, put them off 1 week. Two men showed up in an unmarked white van; one asked me to follow him to basement to "diagnose the problem" and the other was going from room to room upstairs. I have 3 dogs (too friendly) and the one upstairs said, the dogs are really nice. The first guy came upstairs, told me charge would $450.00 and the other started taking a vent off in the hall. I told them to stop what they were doing and leave. One guy got in my face and asked what the problem was. I told them again to leave and he said I would have to pay them "something" for the work they had done. He said he would call his manager and ask if he could give me a discount. I told them to leave or I would call the police. They quickly gathered their things, dropping a tool in the driveway and sped off, I did call the police, made a report and am warning everyone to be aware of this company. I tried calling them 3 times, left a message to call me and 9 hours later have not received a call back. Lesson learned: do not schedule work in or around your home that has been solicited. Ask friends, relatives or neighbors for recommendations and call the company yourself.

linda, this is the dumbest post ive ever seen. Why would the company take the time and money to call people and advertise and find out their address when they could easily just drive around and see that your not home. get over yourself. nobody wants your stuff!!!!!

they call themselves carpet care - offer to clean carpet or ducts in your home at a reasonable rate -
then after the sales pitch they schedule a time to be at your home and then right before the time they cancel - kinda wonder if they were not calling to find out when I wouldn't be home -  
I have a large dog, good neighbors and a decent alarm system so not worried - but even if they are legit at cleaning ducts they do not know customer service - they did not offer anything for my time lost while I was available at time scheduled and they couldn't show up
