And unfortunately with a big company like Serius who offshore a much of their customer facing tasks, you are going to run into people who do not know or show record of the phone number that shows up on your caller ID.

Your phone number was likely incorrectly tied to someone else's account. It happens l the time.

That's incorrect. It is most certainly the policy of Serius to request and take credit card numbers over the phone. How else would they get the information? That would seriously limit their client base if they were unable to take credit card information by phone. It's not a scam, it's a call center and they are calling regarding existing accounts and recent transactions as well as marketing.

Pretty simple they called because I had canceled my debit card they had file for my account because it was stolen.  They simply called to get an updated card for my account.  Its not a scam and they were easy to work with and have been a Sirius customer for over 7 years and not had a single issue.

I have been a customer with Sirius since 2011.  I have never been late on my bill.   My current credit card doesn't expire until 2015 and it just charged two days ago. So, don't assume that everyone is quick to yell scam and not paying their bills.  I called the number on Sirius website as well as went to the online chat. Both deny the number is theirs and both said they would never ask for a credit card over the phone.

Prank Call
Sirius claims they do not know this number. this is a copy of my chat with them

Kris: Hi, my name is Kris, Thank you for contacting SiriusXM.  How may I help you?
Ricky: Hi Kris.  I am not sure who I need to talk to. I just received a call from 877-963-4322 who says they are Sirius Radio.   When I look that number up online, everyone says it is a scam. Can you confirm if this is your phone number or not?  and if it is was, can you check my account to see why they may have been calling?
Kris: Hello Ricky, how are you doing today?
Ricky: I am doing good thank you.   I hope you are as well
Kris: Great., glad to hear that.
Kris: I am fine thank you for asking.
Ricky: I hope my question made sense :)
Kris: Please give me moment while I check that for you.
Ricky: Thank you
Kris: You're welcome.
Kris: Thank you for your time.
Kris: I checked the information for you
Ricky: Okay
Kris: Please give me moment.
Ricky: No problem
Kris: Thank you.
Kris: Thank you for your time.
Ricky: your welcome
Kris: I am sorry to inform you that I checked the number and I am unable to find weather it is SiriusXM number or not.
Kris: I apologize for the inconvenience.
Ricky: It's no problem.  People were saying that they were calling and saying the credit card has expired and asking for a new one.   As long as you don't see a problem on my account, I am fine
Kris: Always remember, we would never call and ask you for this information over the phone.  If there is a problem with the billing on your account, we would call and ask you to go online to update it.
Ricky: Thanks

They just called me and said my automatic payment didn't go through and I needed to contact them to ensure uninterrupted service.  Ummm don't you need to have Sirius service before they can interupt it? Anyway, I hung up.  Oh and, they called my direct line at my office.

Obviously you have not read all the posts! Many of us receiving are not nor have ever been Sirius XM customers at all! This is why people are saying it is a scam! So instead of thinking you are better than others get ALL your facts!

Looks like a credit card scam that has nothing to do with Sirus. They get your name from a list either by stealing or other means. Find out you already had or have Sirus and start making calls to see who they can get "newly updated" CC service from. NEVER give your credit card number out on the phone to someone that has called YOU!!

Sirius XM. It is not a scam.  I have Sirius and a new bank account.  I forgot to update my cc with them.  They called to let me know a payment didn't go through and I updated my cc on my account with them.  So many people are quick to yell scam.  Pay your bill or keep your account updated :)

This number belongs to Sirius/XM satellite radio customer service.   The logic is simple.   You create a temp account.. for example like I did with internet radio.  After a couple of weeks we cancelled our service.   I used a temp atm card knowing that the game would be to charge me for service even after i cancelled.   Given the card did not go through they call and call and call wanting credit card information.   The sad part is the call is coming from a call center in Pakistan where the workers are paid less than we could imagine and the woman are treated like trash.  The key is to get this information out to the public so folks do not sign up for Sirius of any kind.   The company has no regard for human right and no regard for the answer NO, I do not want service.

Same scam as others. First was and Indian accent-ed lady who was very pushy about my service being discontinued. I hung up. Seconad call was an Asian accented lady telling me "You must respond and update your credit card". My service is already on an annual contract and had renewed just 30 days previous to the call. Very disturbing that they have apparently begun a campaign to boost the length of contracts by telling customers that there credit card was not authorized.

I just received a call from this number but, as with others posting here, I have no account with SiriusXM.  To me, this smells of scam and really puts me off from ever getting service from them.

I have had to deal with purported offices of SIRIUS/XM from Egypt, Philippines, U.S. via e-mail, phone calls and letters. This nonsense has got to be stopped. Judging from the posts here and elsewhere, this is a concerted effort to scam consumers. Why are they not being taken to court? Why are their offices in the U.S. not being seized if they do not respond to law enforcement?

I also received a call from 1-877-963-4322 stating that the credit card on file had expired.  I called Sirius/XM back to the number on their website and they said that it was a valid call.  I just had to update the info and then everything was fine. It's not a scam.

You better check your records if you gave out your credit card number.  Had you read any of the reports on this earlier?  I also received a message this evening stating that there was a problem with my credit card charge and info.  I know that is not that case as my card was charged a month ago and I have already received the bill.  I also checked my online account and everything is fine there.   This IS a Scam!!

This number is indeed SiriusXM, it's not a scam. Even before Sirius and XM merged each company had multiple toll free numbers, each of which were for different departments. Only one number for Listener Care (866-528-7474) is published on their website to make it easier for customers to reach them. The 877-963-4322 number is used for outbound calls. Return calls will route into their inbound queue with either toll free number. I received a call from the 877-963-4322 number about an expired credit card. I called back to that number, updated my information. Then I called the 866-528-7474 number as shown on the website and verified that my information had been updated correctly, which it had. Hence, they're working off the same database and this is indeed SiriusXM. For those receiving calls who don't have satellite radio, often times people will provide false phone numbers when signing up. You also have times where the number used to belong to someone with a satellite radio account. They can do annual billing, so it could be a year or two after a number change before you receive a call.
