Maybe you should think a little before you speak as some of us do pay and we have lots of other bills to pay also. Maybe some people should sweep around their own front door before sticking their nose in. Some people run into problems. One spouse loses a job or whatnot and we have to make up for it by paying both halves of the bills. Or maybe just maybe the person didn't get a job in their career path that they planned on and can only get a job that pays a little above the minimum wage. So think before you speak or type.

Debt Collector
My daughter has a student loan with Key Bank which she has been paying. i filed for bankruptcy protection and now they are calling harrassing me. My daughter called Key Bank yesterday and spoke to someone who said they would stop the phone calls. Have received two today already, first at 8:33 this morning. i answered the second call and told the guy that it is not my loan, i am protected by bankruptcy and they are violating massachusetts collection laws and if they don't stop calling i will sue them for triple the amount the loan is for. Let's see if that works.

Getting repeated calls from this # and another linked to Allied. We have never had any loans/debt of any kind with Key Bank. Do have checking/savings and all accounts in proper order. Verified this with personal visit to Key Bank. Also called Key Bank security. Have no other debt but credit cards. (Not Key Bank) paid in full each month. This appears to be scam.

Except Keybank calls people who are making payments, and have always paid, on time. They are the worst. Don't know why they do this.

These ppl are supposedly from KeyBank...they always call then hang up. so i called them back, and everytime i do it's the same Indian Lady picking up the phone. I asked her why that number kept calling. She told me i had to give her all my information for her to find that out. I replied with "you're f***ing retarded", then hung up. Now on occasions i just call wait for her to pick up and hang up. Two people can play at their games.

Caller's thick accent hard to understand on vm, especially while speaking quickly. Vague about what he wanted, except he asked that a male whose name was unknown call back. I called and spoke to a different guy and he requested account #, social, address, etc., and I said they have the wrong number. He never did verify the name of the business. I don't know the caller or the person they are trying to call, and I asked him not to call again. The second guy said he would remove the number from their list. I hope it's true. Do they expect that any person they happen to get on the line will tell them where they live and provide their social security number when they have not established who they are or what they’re trying to do? The red alert went off.

Received a call from this number on a business line, and a recorded message was left. They asked for a person who does not work here to call back at 888-794-3284.

I called back to let them know that they had the wrong number and to request that they remove our company's number from their distribution list. The man who answered said that he needed to know my first and last name in order to have our business phone number removed. I told him that he does not need to have that information in order to stop leaving spam-related messages on a business line. I have not heard of this bank, and given their lack of telephone business protocol, I do not care to know anything further about them.

I never had an account with them, and all my bills are up to date, except for the IRS, and that is not due to April 15th, in which I help others.

I have told them twice, now it is just going to the "Do not call" complaint website.

For some of the comments of the geeks above, technology does not always work the way it should, especially in software design, re phone calling.

They are Keybank, a computer is calling you, if you answer the call it takes a minute for them to get a Keybank representative on the phone, if you wait long enough one will answer.  Alot of these call center's are outsourced out to other countries, mostly India hence the worker with the indian accent.  She was correct in asking for your info so she could look up your account, you are the "f-ing retard" actually, or just really paranoid.  I am a Keybank customer that is why I know all this. You need to take a chill pill.

Those of you whining about being hung up on really need to grow up.. have you heard of something called technology.. There are computer systems out there that are programed to dial 1000s of phone#s all at the same time to try and get someone on the phone, and the only reason you get hung up on is because 1-everyone is busy talking to someone...2- you took to damn long to pick up and other ppl were in line before you to pick up.... And really... if you are getting a call from that # you are in collections... may be if you werent soo concerned about someone calling you from india... you might want to pay a lil'attention to paying some of your unpaid bills.

We just got our second phone call from this number, but my husband does not do business with KeyBank. He does have student loans, but we are 100% positive that none of the loans have been sold to KeyBank. I would definitely be wary of giving your information to someone calling from this number. I also do not see that number listed on the Key Bank web site, and I spent a fair amount of time checking.

They called me today and hung up when I answered. Keybank has called me about 4 times over the past few weeks, and their message is always broken and hard to understand. I called and left a message in English, that carefully broke down whats going on. I hate companies that outsource to India. They never pronounce my name correctly, and they're arrogant.

Sorry Allied person, but you people call 5 even 10 days after a confirmation # for payment. Your computer needs to be processing payments instead if calling people harassing them. Month after month you call all the time regarding an account that was paid.  So for at least some if the people you call there is no reason to other than you haven't processed payments in a timely fashion.

888-204-4273, 800-432-0201, 888-794-3284, 800-982-1102- These #'s are all Allied Internaional Credit on Behalf of Keybank. Not only do these accounts include Cars, Boats, Lines of Credits, or the loan you took for new windows or a new pool; but they also include your student loans, which are serviced through ACS, AES, and Great Lakes. The Calling Centre is located on Ontario Canada, not India; but then they do say ignorance is bliss.

If you get these calls, then your account is past due. Even if you are 5 days late on you payment and you have a 10 day grace period before you will be assessed your late fee; you payment is late, and thus the phone calls. While the phone calls can be annoying, they are in no way illegal or harrasing. There are very strict laws in place by the FDCPA, which is followed very closely, and every collector gets extensive training on this topic. So no one on the phone from our office is using any vulgar language with you or being degrading. We are simply doing our jobs. All calls are noted as to what happened on the call and what was said to and by the customer and the agent.

The only information that we ask for is the "last 4 digits" of your SSN. We do have your full SSN, but we understand that verifying the entire number can be a little uncomfortable. This is to confirm that we are speaking to the correct person because anyone can pick up your phone and rhyme off your telephone #, or address. This verification was put in place by Keybank themselves so as to eliminate third party disclosure; so we're not telling your child/wife/parent/employer that you have unpaid bills, unless they signed the loan with you.

Once you have paid your bill through cheque in the mail, or online; just because you clicked OK, doesn't mean that your loan is now paid. It means you loan payment is in processing. Cheques in the mail take 7-10 business days to not only reach us, but post properly in all of the systems. Online payments take 5-7 business days to reach us at post; because when you click OK, your bank will take the money from your account and then send us a certified cheque. So until your payment posts, you may receive the calls from our office.

Your best bet is to provide the information being asked of you. Verify so that we know we are speaking to the right person. The all we're asking for is the Method, Amount, and Date you payment was made. Then we update your phone #'s to make sure the #'s we have on file are current and good #'s. This is your chance to ask not to receive calls on your work phone, or your cell phone, and provide us with a valid home # to contact you at. Then we update your account in regards to employment, insurance, location of collateral. All of which you agrees to provide whenever asked once you signed your Keybank contract. So if you hang up without giving any information, expect a call back. Again, not harrassment. You have banking business with us, and we ned the information from you.

If you're still unsure call your servicers or Customer Service and provide these #'s to them or ask them what Allied International Credit is. They know, and can verify this for you that we are a legitimate company. Better yet, you can have any of your servicer or Cutomer Service call us with you on the phone to confirm the #.

Allied International on Behalf of Keybank are not scammers; we are simply informing you of past due accounts; which may have just been an oversight on your part, in which case, you would then be happy we called you before your credit got affected.

Sincerely,
Allied Interational/Keybank Collector

Yes, this is Key Bank.  Always an automated recording (they alternate between a man or woman computerized voice).  They only use this number from the computerized system when they're trying to contact you about an overdue account or collections account.  It will typically call you 3-5 times per day until you fix the issue.

KEY BANK IS A PAIN IN THE A**.  I have student loans, which are paid as required, no late payments.  Key Bank continues to call and harass me, even asking for other persons whom I've never heard of.  Whenever I take a moment to speak with the Indian Representative, I get even more calls, as if we never had any discussion whatsoever.  Key Bank is a PAIN IN THE A**.
Today, I received three phone calls from Key Bank, caller ID 888-204-4273.
I just ignore the calls, and if I accidentally answer, I just hang up.
Did I say... KEY BANK IS A PAIN IN THE A** ?!!??

We have received numerous calls from this number and they wanted our information too. But we hung up and called key bank ourselves, this is what key bank said: "under no circumstances would we ever ask for personal information over the phone unless you called us, and all of our accounts through Key bank are just fine"
Please be wary of ANYONE calling you and asking for personal information its NEVER ok

I called the number, they asked for my first and last name which I would not provide.
They asked for the number which I did provide and they said they were looking for a Lee Yeong Xiu (Not me)

They said they had the wrong phone number and would take this off the list.  I'll update if I receive further calls.

I've received several such calls.  The recorded message claims to be Keybank.  I do not and never have done business with Keybank.  The message claims that it is not a sales call.

The number they are calling is my cell phone.

What I would do is look up Great Lakes, the website is www.mygreatlakes.com, Key Bank or Key Alternative is associated with Great Lakes somehow, I'm not quite sure how, but they are. I'm a student and I have three loans, 1 through Sallie Mae, 1 through American Eduacation Services and one through Key Bank/ Great lakes. If you want you can call this number (800) 236-4300 they may be able to help you out more than someone from another country. NOW GRANTED... I do not know, I can't remember, I have called that number before, Infact I have it in my cell phone because its one of my loan providers, but I can't remember who I talked to and all that, Just explain to them that you had someone call from Key Bank and was wondering what the call was about yada yada, if your one of the uncomfortable people, the most I would give out would be your name, and hopefully it would be disctinct enough that they would be able to look you up. I'm only a student, correection former student, sorry. Anyway I don't know if it would work, I know they called me because I have one bill that is behind :( I'm low on the mula currently , just waiting til the next paycheck and I'll get rid of that, but I would try to get it cleared up because they can get annoying *rolls eyes. Good Luck!
