Looks like a shill for the fraud posting here folks -- beware of this fake Chase phishing scam.

I applied for a Chase Business CC and received a letter saying that I needed to verify some information (including my SS#).  Being hesitant to just give that information away so readily, I went online and called Chase's customer service line and had them verify this number.  The number did check out, so my fears were removed.

Caller stated that they were from Amazon Business Cards Fraud Protection Dept. and said to call this number. However, the number that appeared on the caller ID was a wireless caller.

This number is for your protection for a new application! Did you apply for a new credit card? Wow, you got a call right after you applied? ?That seems like fraud to you? Your banking dept or debit card dept has nothing to do with the credit card dept, they would not know that the fraud prevention dept called you.

Rec'd call with message to call the 888-204-8630 stating it is the fraud dept from chase giving a reference call.

I called my bank direct. no such number in their directory. All is ok on my accounts.

This is a legit number for Chase new accounts fraud department. I called Chase direct and was directed to this number by their reps. Everything is legit

If you fill out a credit application with Chase for a new credit card and they want to verify you filled out the app you will get a call from this number which is their new accounts department security dept.

Everything is ok with this number for those wondering.

THAT THEY RECIEVE APPLICATION,

 THEY NEED COPY OF MY SSN AND COPY ONE OF BUSINESS LICENSE,ARTICLE OF INC, ETC.

CHECKED OUT WITH MY BUDDY GOOGLE UNDER ITS PH NUMBER 888 204 8630..

FINDING SUCH A SHAME@!

post office deals with scammers.  federal corrupt under u.s.p.s. ?

watchout for it..  if u suspect get same letter as mine, report to post office and let them know that usps is associated with corrupts ?

that is how it works.  usps sold to corrupts,frauds,scammers.
stamped by us postage. therefore it needs to be stopped!

That is the name he used when calling me.  

They left a message saying they were calling from Chase fraud department.  I called the number on my card and the real Chase said that no one from their company called me.  

I called this number afterward to see what they would say and they asked for my social security number to look up my account.  That's when I told her I had called the police to report them.  she hung up.  They are obviously fraud.  If it were really appropriate there's no way she would have hung up.  

Do not give them ANY of your personal information.

Called Chase (United mileage CC) fraud department. They check the the number  and told me that 888-204-8630 is legitimate phone number of ?Chase fraud prevention unit?. Will called them next week

chase stated that it was not them.

The caller stated they were calling from conintental Airlines wanting to verify Fraud Protection.  However, I have not used this airline for any services. Caller said it was not a solicitation.
