Called just before closing time & hung up when I answered.

tell the idiots if they are gonna call to talk and not hang up   get a life

I've had to adopt a new policy. I don't
give out any information for any of these
so-called internet listings, various
"yellow pages", etc.

For a time, I did verify the
information that they already had & give them
contact info. What happened was an increase in
telemarketing calls. Many of these t-marketers
are just phishing and/or pre-qualifying numbers
as legit. In return, your business and/or personal
info. is sold as a commodity & you receive even more
telemarketing calls.

My policy is to just hang up. They count on you to
be polite but you seldom get the same in return.

I would file a complaint with the FCC.
That is harassment. The FCC will follow
up.

Called to verify our business information to put on a local business directory - they had all the correct information already. She said we would not be charged but then really quickly mentioned that it's free for 30 days and then after that we would have to call to cancel. I made very clear we do not want to be signed up, we do not want to have to call to cancel. She said the basic listing is free and she will keep us at that. They better not charge us.

I have been called by this number for 4 months continuously. At first it was 1 or 2 times per week. I told them this was not a business and was a residence. I also told them that I was on the Do Not Call Registry. Their reply was that unless I pay them a monthly fee, they will call me EVERY day.  I told them this is a residence but they do not care. They just want money.

I have asked them for their mailing address but I do not know whether it is real or phony:

Nowq they have escalated and are calling 7 days per week. Today theey have called 3 times, once per hour.  I have reported each on the Do not call complaint website but there has been no prosecution or action so far in four months of reporting this.

web service scammer.... "....we will feature your business for free... it cost you nothing....." until the second month and forever.. don't answer the phone

Called @ 2:18 pct - answer machine picked up .. heard some muttering. they then hung up.  I am on the DO-NOT-CALL registry and will be filing a complaint with them.

Received two calls back to back from this number.  The first time I answered there was silence, second time they hung up.

Indian dude keeps calling even after I told him I was not a business and please don't call again.

We have received two calls now and they hang up when i answer.  I tried to call back and there was no answer

They called my number and they got my answering machine (i never answer if I do not know the number).  They left a variety of music on my answering machine and at the end of it, a guy said Hello and mentioned that he wanted to speak with me (he utterred my name).  So I would think that he put the phone on hold when nobody answered, and their music on hold system played a variety of songs, and then when he decided to reconnect he thought i was on the line.

Trying to sell internet advertising. When I asked for their company name, I was given a bogus name. I asked to be removed from their calling list, they said they needed personal information from me to do this. BEWARE......

It was some sort of local business listing web site. They wanted to confirm our business information (which they apparently already had).

The caller would not stop talking when I asked to be placed on their do not call list.
