Auto dialer that called. This is a business line so not open for telemarketing calls.

Didn't clearly state where the call was coming from (company).

Recorded female voice informed my voicemail that she was calling from "Homeytel Business News," and that this would be my only notification.  The number on my CID was310-599-5794

I have had several calls from HomeyTel News the number left is 206-397-5122 and you are suppose to call them back at 888-567-4218 to reduce your credit card debt to zero under the New Bank Stress Test Act. Anyway they are really annoying this too is a business number. The best part is we have no debt. How does a person really get these kind of calls stopped? We are on the DNC list.

This number calls our business line constantly.  The message is always about reducing debt.  Okay, this is a company line in place to conduct business - how did they get this number and how do I get them to stop calling?  We too are on the DNC list and it has done NOTHING to help.

It seems like they have called everyone else, so why not me. I wish there was a way to vaporize the initiator of calls like these.
I did submit a complaint to DCN, and this list. My CID only displayed "out of area" but the recorded message left 888-212-7106, which turns out to be HomeyTel

Received a recorded phone call from "Alicia" at 888-212-7106, offering to reduce my [non-existent] credit card debt.  My number's been on the "do not call" list for 6 months at least.  Was told to press a number if I had credit card debt over $10,000 (!).  At the very end of the call, I was told to press "9" if I wanted to opt out of receiving such government assistance (!).  Pressed it and was told my number had been removed from their lists - but of course anyone who doesn't stay on the line for the whole dreary sales pitch doesn't get to that point.

Robo call from Homeytel News. Thought robo calls were made illegal....can't remember what is the exact wording on that. Oh well, logged complaint with FTC anyway.

'Robocall' Ban to Start Tuesday

Many of those annoying prerecorded telemarketing calls will be history starting Sept. 1. The Federal Trade Commission said Thursday that it is banning these "robocalls" to consumers, unless the telemarketer has written permission from a customer that he or she wants to receive these calls. Violaters will face penalties of up to $16,000 per call.

?American consumers have made it crystal clear that few things annoy them more than the billions of commercial telemarketing robocalls they receive every year,? said Jon Leibowitz, Chairman of the FTC. ?Starting September 1, this bombardment of prerecorded pitches, senseless solicitations, and malicious marketing will be illegal. If consumers think they?re being harassed by robocallers, they need to let us know, and we will go after them.?

The ban does not apply to recorded informational messages such as those that notify people about flight cancellations or school delays.

After September 1, consumers who receive prerecorded telemarketing calls but have not agreed to get them should file a complaint with the Commission, either on the ftc.gov Web site or by calling 1-877-FTC-HELP.

Just received a call at work from this phone number...alicia from homeytel with a recorded message about the bank stress test act to legally eliminate your credit card debt!!  
I work at a 911 center and don't have time for this b******t!!!!

Complaint filed since we asked to be put on their no call list in 2009.

I don't answer out of area, 800 calls, or out of state area code calls.  They would be 100% telemarketing calls.  99% wait for the answering machine and when they are prompted to leave the message they hang up.  In the case of this call it is a robo call.  The recording starts out with "no problem. now is the time to act; hello this is george with Homeytyl Business News, press 2 to talk to a business rep or call 1888-212-7106 this will be your only notice to respond. Press 9 to opt out to I government assistance".  I shall assume that only a portion of this message was recorded.  I have no idea what they are talking about or what they want from me but I do know they are violating the federal law.  NO TELEMARKETERS are allowed to call my company. Any that do are violating the federal law and I promptly report them to the DNC registry.  If they call again I write a letter to Congress and the FTC/FCC.  ALL TELEMARKETERS NEED TO GET A REAL JOB AND AN HONEST JOB.

This is a company who is in violation of using Robo calling in the State of MN. I work for a secretarial company who answers telephones for several clients, so I get this call on 7 lines at least once a week. I have gotten the paperwork for each of my clients who will be filing charges with the MN Attorney General. They now face fines of up to $16,000 for each complaint. Everyone needs to register a complaint with their State AG if you are in a state that has banned this practice.
