Same situation they asked for credit card number and date of birth; UNDER NO CICUMSTANCE GIVE OUT PERSONAL INFO OVER THE PHONE... I did not have a phone with Telus since 2008 now they say I owe a bill on that phone made in 2012... totally bogus note when you trace back their number is says its from USA yet they give out a sheppard ave toronto address... bogus again.. beware of these people... not sure how to get the calls to stop...

I have been receiving phone calls from this number for a very long time. The amount of calls increases per day. I answered today because I was sick of them incessantly calling at all hours of the damn day. They asked for me specifically, I didn't confirm who I was but I did ask "Who is this?" to which they replied "You have an unresolved business matter in our office". I laughed and told them not to F-ing call me again. Good riddance.

Your an idiot, you clearly work for them and are trying to make them look good.  Don't listen to him you don't have to make a deal with them they make money if you do, if you feel you owe the money go back to the creditor because the collection agency doesn't make money if they don't collect.  Also there is a limit on when they can collect a debt if its pass 2 years in Ontario.  Don't listen to this clown.  Think about it why would this person look up this number and post here if he knew who they are he wouldn't if he had spoken to them he wouldn't. People only look this number up if they don't know or have a beef with them.

This company has been calling me for nearly a month now. They claim that I owe money on a Telus account from 2006. I did not have a cellphone until recently, and I'm with another provider. That's right, I have never been a Telus customer, nor have I ever lost my wallet or provided Telus with any personal information. CBV is a phishing scam. Never EVER tell them anything besides that they have the wrong number or to take your number off the list. Crooks.

Wow, I am glad people are informative as I learned today about who these people are.  I would like to know if anyone else feels like the call strategy here and worker training is pure harassment tactics.  Does anyone get calls where they let it ring once and hang up almost as if the point is to make sure you know they are still calling?  Does anyone else get calls at 2 minutes to 9pm almost as if the strategy is to let you know they will be there no matter what?  Does anyone else get a call from  unknown cell phone numbers after hours?- If so, post your comments.  That IS harassment- and workers turning a matter into personal vendettas.  If you feel the same, post the cell phone number and have everyone on this site call it 5-8 times a day.  I'd think that if enough people feel the same about the above practices; something legal can likely be done.

TRY calling the number back telling them to remove your number you dont know the person. I just did and they said my number would be removed from the list.

These people are clearly dumb as hell. Today was the first time they called but they were ignorant, rude, disrespectful, and 100% UNprofessional. They called MY house at 8:01am today. They were asking for my boyfriend who DOESN'T live with me and putting me down. This guy started raising his voice at me, calling me a bi*** and a c***. He was basically saying that the calls won't stop until my boyfriend calls him back. I told him that my boyfriend doesn't have a cell phone or a house phone and that I go to his house once he is done work. My 1 year old daughter was sleeping when he called and I told him next time he called looking for someone WHO DOESN'T live here will be getting an ear full. I don't appreciate ignorant people calling my house at 8am. If you were to speak politely then okay but to speak disrespectful to me because I dont have a way for you to contact my boyfriend and would like you to stop calling.

This number callers 3-4 times a day.  Very frustrating

Picked up, weird music then it hung up. Called them back, was transferred to an agent and after a couple of clarification questions the CSR updated the wrong number. She said it would take 24h for their automated system to recognize the error, here's hoping.

Stop this number from calling at least 6 to 7 times a day including weekends. Enough is enough.

I get many calls a day from them for someone else.  They are very rude.  I like to f*ck with them, so when They call and I actually get a person I am vulgar.  VERY vulgar.  I always tell them they have a sexy voice and I get off on being insulated. They usually hang up. Ha.

Being on the on the Do Not Call list will have no effect on this type of call and reports about this type of call to the DNC website will not be acted on since the complaint is invalid under the Do Not Call regulations.  Debt collectors are not required to register for nor utilize the Do Not Call list to avoid calling numbers on it.  However, after receipt of a "Cease and Desist Letter", verbal requests are not sufficient, those receiving repeated calls can take action against the agency assuming you can find an address to send the letter to.  You can file complaints with both your state Attorney General and the FTC (but not the Do Not Call complaint line or website) about abusive debt collectors.  The Do Not Call list regulations apply solely to callers selling goods or services for themselves or third parties or qualifying sales leads.  Other types of calls are regulated under different rules and are reported to other agencies such as the FCC, FTC and state's Attorneys General.

Stop calling me before I charge you and tell me why you are calling me

So, if the information they have is so accurate the why have they been calling my cell number since 2006 when I got my first cell phone looking for someone else with a totally different name and cell service than I have?  I never answer it since the first time they called and I told them they have the wrong number/person.  So, that has been calls on their dime since 2006.  What a joke, it's been over 6 years and guess what, the person you looking for doesn't have to pay you no more.  You can't legally collect on a debit that is more than 6 years old.

I would really like these harassing calls to stop. How do I go about repotting them? I have important calls I do not want to miss just because I have to keep my phone off so I don't have to listen to my phone ring all day. These people are so inconsiderate.

Who do I have to talk to get them to stop? I get calls several times throughout the day. I can't keep my phone on anymore without getting these harassing calls.  I have family in the hospital and don't want to miss important calls because of these inconsiderate people.

Keep calling for a person name Pamela Anderson, told them numerous times that I am male and I own this cell phone number for the past 3 years.  No idea who they are but they seems deaf and still keep calling for her.

I've been getting phone calls from them about 3 times a day everyday since October 4th, looking for my older sister, and I've informed them a minimum of 40 times that my phone number is not hers, nor a contact number for her. They will not get the hint and it's stressing me out that they will not stop calling. I've asked them to take my number out of their system as a contact for her, and they proceed to give me s***, and continue to call. I'm not sure what I'm suppose to do, if I'm supposed to make a formal complaint or what, but if this continues I'm dropping Telus as a provider.

I keep receiving multiple phone calls every day. I've given them more than enough information to leave me be but they just don't. They're trying to collect for a Telus Mobility account that's been closed for at least three years and there's nothing owing. I've now blocked their number on my phone, so far no more calls have come through :)

You want them to stop calling?

1. inform them you are recording the conversation,
2. inform them to contact you only by mail
3. inform them you have been tracking all their calls and numbers used
3. send a registered letter informing them you will be charging them $500 every time they call from the point they receive the letter, regardless if the call is answered, a message is left or they hang up
4 continue to document calls including times of day.

if they continue, and they will, send them an invoice for the amount (they have been informed so this is a legally enforceable bill and you can file a small claims action to force them to pay)

5 watch the calls stop

YOU ARE FULL OF SH*T this is just the same collections agency (an employee) leaving this quote please don't be fooled ppl I have seen this same quote under the same companies other phone numbers (they have many) , yes this is CBV collections 100% and you are now the unlucky target because someone left your number as a contact on one of there forms or as a reference for a payday loan or say a telus bill. Yes it sucks ive had these a-holes phone me on multiple different phones, virgin, telus, rogers and many times for someone else an old roommate or so on.
