Debt Collector
I received a call today from 202-269-5335.  The caller stated that her name was Iesha Bell.   She did not provide a company name, but stated that she was a processor, and asked to speak with our HR Department.   I hung up the phone on her.  She proceeded to call, until I finally answered.   When I answered, she said, :"It was you that I was looking for, instead of hanging up on me, you should have taken the case number."  She proceeded to give me a case number and advised me to call 844-230-2128 regarding a loan from 2011 that had been previously paid, and that she would be arriving at my place of work in one hour to serve these papers.   She also stated that I had been officically notified and slammed the phone down.   I went outside to wait on her....No Iesha Bell.   She called back about an hour and a half later saying that she was 20 minutes away.   Again I went outside to wait on her, if she's serving papers, Im serving a** whippings.    Still no Iesha Bell.  I tried to call the number back, and received a voicemail that states " You have reached the investigative department.   We are unable to receive incoming calls."  Such a rip-off.  Do you expect me to pay for a debt that I know has been paid, to a company  whose you can't even provide?

Someone named Iesha Bell, with the same script as posted by NWCompany above, left a voicemail and then called again an hour or so later and I answered, and she gave me the same script again. She was very nasty in response to my questions, said she was simply a locator, insisted that I call 877-817-4395 for more information, and eventually told me that the person she's trying to reach (not me) "has now been officially notified" -- which is of course not true, since she has not yet reached that person -- and hung up. It was very upsetting.

Received call from a male with a heavy Asian accent who was calling for my daughter. He said he was from the "loan office". I asked him what loan it was in reference to. He said he needed to speak to my daughter, then he hung up. He gave no name or no company affiliation.

Received and phone call from this number about 4 times this am and it's only 9:30am as I write this.  Indian man on my vm claiming his name is Kevin Cooper and he is going to help me with my "Electricity Service."  He kept repeating electricity service on the vm and never once identified himself as working for the local  electric company (Edison).  The same person called several times and when I answered He did have an address (though wrong, it was close).  This concerns me... I got off the phone and did not provide any info.  Obviously this is not a SoCal Edison number.

Got a call from 888-229-7795. Strong accent said something about a company called 'Whitefish' or 'Whitefin', then mentioned Centurylink at some point. Said they obtained my address from their website that I supposedly logged into while I apparently was searching for high-speed internet.

I have been receiving calls for the past two weeks SEVERAL times a day on my cell, at work, and even my parent's house. I did speak to a Mr Henley who claimed to be from United Litigation. He gave me a case # and told me to call 877-343-6399 or he will be at my place of employement to serve me a court summons. I never called the 877 # because this had scam written all over it. First of all, he could not or would not provide me with any information as to what this was regarding. Every question I asked was answered with I can't give you that information call the number I just gave you. Secondly, I had no idea that when you were being served that you would actually receive a phone call giving you a time and place to receive the summons. Wouldn't that defeat the purpose??? Thirdly, if this was legitimate I would have received something from someone in the mail. Lastly, even if you owe a debt, you can't be arrested for not paying. There is no debtor's prision. Given the condition of the economy today, there would be a heck of a lot of people going to prision. I have filed a complaint with the FTC due to the fact that in the past 2 days I have received 20 phone calls, Mr Henley impersonnated a police officer/sherrif AND they disclosed they were coming to serve me to my PARENTS who have not had the same phone number as me for the past 30 years. This is all illegal debt collection practices.

I got the same message from a Melissa Green stating that I have been officially notified of a legal order case# and that they needed my home and employment address. If that was the case and it was an official court agency, they would have no problem having that information at their fingertips via DMV or public records.

I got a call from Patricia Jones who said she was a private locator/process server and she called when I was out sick so ended up talking to the office manager of my job. It was embarrassing so when I called the number she left they would not tell me what this was about or who hired them unless i gave them my date of birth or social. I refused and we went in circles. Patricia Jones called back and then said she'd have to serve me. I told her to meet me somewhere and she said she would call back when she was in route. I dont know what to think.

I received the same message from Tina Wright. She left the phone number 888-229-7795 and a claim number. She called my ex-husband of 10 years and left the same message. I have received other phone calls like this one and have learned that they are scams. Yes I did get a payday loan many years ago but it was paid off. I am glad to find these post and hopefully it will help other people. If you do talk to them do not give them any of your information and ask questions such as: What is the name of the company that says you owe them money? What is the name of the company collecting the debt? What is the address of the company? They should be able to give you detailed information. If they can't, then it is a SCAM.

It is illegal for a debt collector  to contact your employer.  If you do make contact with them get an address, name and telephone number.  Most likely the address will be nonexistent or an abandoned property. May be a scam.

Our company just received a very threatening sounding voicemail from someone who says their name is Iesha Bell.  The message goes as follows:

"This message is the manager of ###, claim # 220232.  This is Iesha Bell, contacting regarding an order submitted to my office this morning.  I need to verify your protocal for presenting a formal claim.  Your employee, ####, has charges and a claim against her.  At this point she has one opportunity to contact the mediation firm to discuss the matter immediately, they can be reached at 888-229-7795, the claim number on this order 220232.  #####, you have been officially been notified."

From what I'm reading here it's some sort of scam.  We obviously won't be calling this person back.

The same woman called me from a restricted number.....she called me a total of 6 times back to back...She would not identify her number when I picked up and also would not identify her address...she claims she works out in the field for Capital, Harris & Miller...

I called a number that she left for me and started questioning the young lady where are they located...she paused for a second then asked me three times why do I need to get their address and I responded by telling her my attorney needed the information to file a report against you all because, of harassment and it is against the law to tell someone they've committed a fraud...she responded well I'm not the person who left the message....she gave me this address 2224 W. Toughy Chicago IL 60660...needless to say...it is a residential area with no businesses ....this property is for sale...you can google it and it will show the condo is for sale....I wish they would leave me alone

What a bunch of losers!!!!!
