Got a call and said would come to get my signature to appear in court.

I got the same message.  I also got a call this morning...breaking up...I said I could not hear him and asked him to call back...He did not.  I called the number he listed (they answer Elwood Associates).  They said that I was being sued for nonpayment on a payday loan.  I called the payday people....the woman, conveniently did not have the # for who was suing me.  They said that they sold the loan 2 years ago to a different credit company.  National Credit Adjusters (800-542-1048).  I checked on that company...they have a really bad reputation.  I call the county court.  It would be a small claims suit.  They had no record of a filing.  Per the court clerk, they have to file the lawsuit before they can serve it.  It is ILLEGAL to state that you are coming to serve someone if you are not really doing so.  I asked to be "re-served" tomorrow.  We'll see if anyone shows.  If they do, I will fight this with a countersuit for harassment...this guy was told NOT to call me at work but has done so repeatedly....also illegal.  This could result in me getting more back than anyone says I owe.

got a voicemail yesterday (didn't hear 'til today), said he would come over tomorrow Friday and I honestly got very worried because the man sounds legitimate!! reading this gives some relief! we'll see how tomorrow goes...

said i took out loan from a plain green pay day loan in may 2011....  was in afghanistan......

They called my parents threatening that they are going to sue me and trying to get money from my parents.  Just mean and rotten!

I received the same call and message.  Did they see you on Monday?  The message said they were serving me notice and I'd be served on Friday.  See me on Friday.

Called today, threatening that I was going to be served a notice to appear in court on Monday, and he would "see me on Monday."
