A person from this phone number called my cell phone last week under an unavailable phone number and left a message that I was to call this phone number back; they never said who they were, or what company they were with.  I did not return the call as I don't call anyone back who cannot identify who they are or what company they are with. I have also been getting calls from 716-253-6594, and 1-866-597-4639 which are all in NY- so they all must be related someone to the same scammers.  Don't respond back is all I have to say.  I have placed blocks with my cell phone carrier on some of these numbers because I am sick of them calling.

This is ridiculous and someone needs to stop this type of fraud, there are people that get scammed. We should all get together and file a class action. the courts are stepping in. I get calls throughout the day and I dont owe money.

This right was recently recognized by Judge Legrome D. Davis in a case called Watson v. NCO Group, Inc.  NCO Group is a debt collector that uses automated prerecorded collection calls.  In this case, Mr. Watson alleged he was getting hundreds of calls from NCO Group after he got a new phone number. Mr. Watson claimed he owed no debt to NCO Group, Inc.  Mr. Watson filed suit under both the FDCPA and TCPA.

Under the TCPA, a consumer has a right to file a lawsuit and recover $500 for each call that violates the TCPA. The TCPA can also be used in conjunction with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act in some situations.

I got three phone calls today, telling  me I would be served papers at my place of employment, they refused to speak to the office Manager in HR or leave a messge.

They used an Unknown phone number to call my employment, no company name left

Company called and started a message asking where whoever they are trying to contact (which was never specified) wanted to get served. Very weird.

I received the same prerecorded msg left on my cell phone. I did not respond. This is a scam. They said there was a civil suit against me & I should be expecting service at my home as an attachment there of. Bull crap. I don't know what it is about but if it was anything legal no government or local authorities would leave a recorded msg that you will be served. How ridiculous!

Complete scam. Saying I will be served a civil complaint at home or the office.

I think this number is also linked to (716) 241-4242.  A Ms. Knox claims she's from the same law firm Delaney Ruben & Stein.  I know it's a scam because they have been leaving messages for months saying they will serve me court papers if i don't pay.  Always saying I have some BS deadline to respond by or else.

I've gotten calls from these jokers the last 2 days, each one earlier then the one before..It's an automated message saying that I (or someone else, they never mention a persons name and NO ONE has our TN so I'm pretty positive it's not us.. we get 10 calls a day for 2 different people, neither of them us) will be served with a court summons on Monday at either my home or my place of employment..... Seriously??? They really should make sure that they are leaving the message with the correct people.  Our VM states Phil & Jennifer.. yet the bill collectors are looking for a Paula and a Latoya.. Really getting sick of this.. The next one who calls and wakes my husband up while he sleeping during the say is going to regret that they did.  I just keep reporting their number over and over and over.. They'll never learn. If I have to change my TN due to this endless harassment for something that's not even mine I'll be sending them the bill!

THey appear tobe a company out of New your called EAG .  THey called me yesterday about a company called Vince Enterprises.  Very rude people.

I got the same phone call today

Same 'ol $hit, different day, different @$$h0le scammer. This time these scammers leave a machine recorded message (probably because their thick middle eastern accents keep giving them away) Love the recorded message "This is to 'SERVE' as final notice-yada yada yada... YOU CAN'T SERVE $HIT OVER THE PHONE!!! I can call you saying I'm Napoleion!!! You gonna believe me or demand proof? The only way they can get you in an 'ATTEMPT' to colect a debt is to subpoena you. They won't because they CAN'T! They're SCAMMERS!

I received a call from this company insist i owe them $700 not so. They are going to issue a summons to me. Today is the last day for me to address this issue and pay them $350.00. I refused to respond within their time frame of 5:00 there time. I was off this weekend they said they would contact me on Monday at work. The gentleman said he is Mike Taylor from EAG. I asked what the letters EAG stand for and he said he could not tell me.

Got an email to my personal account about a non-sufficient funds payment.  Claims thier from Easter Acquisition Group, LLC.  No address but just the phone number (888) 236-3382.  It's signed by a Patrick Huffman, Director of Final Review Claims.  Have no idea who this is.  Email sender address is DelaneyRuben&SteinLLC_scs@gcnotify.com.  You can respond to the email because it claims it was sent from an automated address.
