Got a message: "Your First National Bank of Walker Debit-Card has been BLOCKED. Contact us immediately at 8882398172".

received a text message from 8882398172@kfcu.org saying my keesler federal credit union debit card has been suspended. I've never done bussiness with that bank but I know it's in my area. thanks to this site I realized that it's the same phone number that you all received calls from and that it is a TOTAL SCAM! Don't even call back if you get this type of message

I had a bank account with First National Bank of Walker- Longville branch over 13 years ago and I received this text message. I called the bank and was talked to a very nice lady and she told me that it is a scam and to not give any personal information out to the number given. I did call the 888 number that was given and it was busy. Creepy that somebody could get this information. I was 14 when I opened and closed this account!

Yes, it is confirmed that this is a scam.
As in any email message sent by computer or cell phone, a bank will not contact you by this type of communication medium regarding your account.

Please delete the message and do NOT take any action.

I got the text from this number too, "Your First National Bank of Walker Debit-Card has been BLOCKED. Contact us immediately at 8882398172" First off  I've never heard of this bank, second why would they text me at 12:43am on a Saturday night? Has anyone called the number back? What scam are they trying to pull?

we got the first national bank of walker card blocked text as well, i can tell you there is NO WAY  the walker bank is sending texts at saturday night, total scam!

I received a text saying my tempe schools CU debit card has been blocked.. weird thing is i am with desert schools and their visa/debit system has been down for nearly 24 hours... im wondering if they have been hacked!?
