888-240-0921

Got a text message saying they had seen my resume for a job, to call 888-240-0921. The number that generated this text message was not the 888 number. I called from another phone and got a message to hold for the next available rep for "Employer Network". Not sure who they are, but it feels too much like a scam when someone just sends you a text out of the blue asking you to call some 888 number and never speaks to you.

Copy of original message: Hi (Name), I just reviewed your application for the Customer Service position you applied for. Please call me at 888-240-092. But the number on the callerID actually is: 424-832-4850. What's up with that?

Has anyone actually called and talked to someone, or are we all losing potential jobs because it feels like a scam? I know I haven't called, because I'm afraid it's a scam... but it sure would be a shame to miss an opportunity because of fear.

Received a text message as I am looking for work in Memphis. Glad that I checked out the number and reached this site before I bothered calling back! Thanks!

Got a text from a different number telling me to call about a job using this 888 number. I have no doubt this is a scam since I got the same text a few days ago asking to call a different 888 number. I hate these people!

Got a txt message, I used to work for a company like this (Qwest) and I'm sure the "Employer Network" is the same type scam. Same script of "just checking the information you sent to the employer and going through the application process".
There is no job, I'm sure of it. Especially since all I did was respond to an email and gave no real information, just a cover letter.
