Stupid recording. They are calling about a debt owed. Called them and they asked who it was. Told them that we are renters here. NCO Financial said if I know this person. Told them no one here by that name. They wouldn't tell me anything else. Gonna contact the Attorney General.

Collection Company try to collect junk debt

On this phone call she made an attempt to collect a debt that I never have.(She mentioneed it was from cingular)I asked her give me her company name and phone number, she tald me: NCO Financial Systems, 888-245-3420. Then I called this number and got same answer. I called AT&T to ask them check my bill histry (including cingular bill)and they told me that I am clear and no debt.
So what should I do now?

This outfit supposedly took over Navy Federal Credit Union Bad Debts.  I have listened to the received voice mail on my child's cell phone for more than 1 year from these people.  I called today, and this lady claims the "company" "took over" in Nov. of 2008 so my calls of complaint in April of 2008 and Oct. 2008 were useless!  Navy Federal (who supposedly deleted the cell number after I spoke with them) just transferred the supposed cell number of this guy who owes to this new collection department.  I informed them that I would contact the Attorney General's office and her response was, "Well, you just do what you have to do."  I guess I will!  There were also different extensions to contact with each voice message with a reference number of 3874A9.

ONCE AGAIN NO ACTUAL PERSON CALLING JUST PRE-RECORDING.. DONT ANSWERING THEY ARE FRAUD.. they are out to get something that you dont even OWE!

My 15 year old kid is getting calls from these scumbags.  I've had enough and I am going to do everything in my power to hang them from the flagpole!!!

Be sure to check your credit reports. NCO has a long history of reporting false information about consumers to the credit bureaus. Just a few years, the federal government fined NCO $1.5 million dollars for this illegal practice.

Got a letter from NCO Financial Systems Inc. with this phone number today.  Seems they have bought a uncollected debt from another collection company.  Had a difference of opinion with Cingular phone company - it was never resolved - then they sold out to AT & T who never seems to have enough people to answer calls or offer service.

Got a recorded message-call from these folks today.  Looks like a collection effort for a dead debt.  Funny thing is it was a recorded message, and not a human.  What do they expect to gain from that?
