They texted me about a job that I never applied for...

I got a text as well.  Thought it was strange but called the number anyway.  I had the same experience as many of the other posters.  I had applied to jobs with similar job titles and that's why I decided to call them back.  The strange thing was when I called them back she answered the phone by saying "Hello, is this, my name?"  That gave me concern.  She then told me the application process could take about 25 minutes but then asked me 3 questions which took less than a minute.  She asked if I was available for full-time or part-time.  She asked if I was going to college or had completed college and she then asked what would be the best time for the employer to call me.  Oh yeah, early on she did say she was from Employer Network and they were a 3rd party job search company.  She then said she would send an email to complete the application. I will not open that email or any others I receive from them.  This is a total scam and thankfully I didn't give out any info that isn't already on my resume but really, this is sad that there are people out there who are trying to scam those who are just searching for a job.

I got a text asking me to call the phone number above about a job that I might have applied for...similar job title to what I had been sending out resumes to but when I called it, a machine picks up saying it's for the Employer Network. Got my hopes up. Big time scam...for those of you who are looking for a job, I wish you the best!

Thanks so much for the info! I've been applying to around 5 jobs a day and honestly could'nt remember if I knew these people or not. Just received their Text message. I will NOT be responding.

Not legit. I got the same text for a job with the similar job posting that I applied for. They do not give you any information and cannot seem to tell you what the job is about. Way to sketchy.

I guess I'm not the only one who decided to research this number since I can't find a name to attach it to. I just recieved a text to call this 888 #. Looked at my job search list and could not find any relation to any of my job searches. I will call and will report back with info? Hope this is legit...I really need a job.

I got a text first and then called the number. He told me the position I filed for and it is something I do remember applying for. He could not tell me through what employer he was affiliated. I did reveal I was unsure about the validity of the call....and I would go along with his questions but if he reached a point where he asked for information-I would not give it to him. He asked yes/no questions...nothing too personal. Told me I would get an email in 24 hours with the app/job I applied for. I guess we will see in 24hours....but I might not even open the email.

Received a text. I called the number, and it is Employers Network. I did reply to similar job titles on the day that I supposedly answered the job posting, but none with the identical title. All she could tell me was that it was either posted on CareerBuilders or CraigsList (it was probably CraigsList - CareerBuilders postings are legitimate). She did not have the job posting or resume. She told me the interview process would take about 25 minutes. She wanted me to conduct an interview without my knowing what was in the job description. When I asked her if she could e-mail me the job posting, she hung up. It does not sound legitimate.

Rcvd a text about 15 mins about a job I DID apply for... but what kind of company communicate via text? I've done some research and it is a total scam. How annoying and totally sad )o:

Company Named Employer Network. Very vague & unwilling to answer my questions? They said it was a free service but if you cant answer simple questions about how they found out about my job search if I never used their service doesnt exactly come across as reputable!
