Found the Ashley Martin message in my voicemail box today.  Apparently she (it?) called me back on June 22.  Recording repeated exactly as posted above, including the minimum payments part.

It seems as though these cretins have run out of Americans to dupe - they called me in Canada on the 978-570-2313 number (which I suppose if they had left a message would have asked me to call the 888-261-4568 number and submit myself to robbery).
The only purpose their call served was to give me a respite from marking all those dreary student papers sitting on my desk.

P.S. Dave's message above about the responses of the (so-called) supervisor confirm the intellectual inferiority of these scum. They are also morally inferior.

I knew the message was a scam when they said they could get the interest rate as low as 1%, but what bothered me was that they knew the name of the company that we had the credit card company thorugh.

I got this message on my cellphone voicemail, and I received no call.

"Hey guy, Ashley Martin here. Umm we spoke on the phone last week about possibly trying to lower your interest rates and reducing your montly payments on your credit cards. I wanted to get back to you and let you know that I did find a solution. We've got a pogram that can lower those interest ratest to as low as 1.5% and possibly cut your monthly payments in half. And since you are only making the minimum payments, this would be a great opportunity for ya. This will be my last courtesy call, so please give me a ring today. You can reach me at 1-888-261-4568 and don't forget to have your most recent statement on hand, so give me a call.  The number again is 1-888-261-4568."

This is a lie, nobody previously talked to me.  I did not respond to the voicemail, but would definately like to let whomever originated this deception, to put my name on the "DO NOT CALL LIST"

Message from 207-493-2624 with "Testing Services" on the Caller ID on 3 work extensions.

Text of message: "Hey guy, Ashley Martin here. Umm we spoke on the phone last week about possibly trying to lower your interest rates and reducing your montly payments on your credit cards. - Never spoke to them previously.
- Company's recorded message is dishonest and deceptive

I called 4 times asking to speak to Ashley Martin. Once was put on hold for 5 mins then call was dumped. All three other times the person said she was "unavailable." When I insisted I wanted to speak with Ashley Martin or a supervisor, they claimed to be a supervisor and gave me a first name with a 4 digit number. Questions they refused to answer:
- name of the company
- location of the call center
- if Ashley Martin existed

The employees ended the conversation by saying these things:
1) "get a day job" - in response to if Ashley Martin was a real person
2) It was a misdial on the area code - just disregard the call" (When I said it was a dishonest recorded message she hung up)
3) "Get a life" - She asked my name and I said, Ashley told me we has spoken previously...surely she has my name."

robo-call on my cell phone about reducing my debt.  I'm sure it is a fraudulent phisher as I have no debt.

I seem to get these every 3-4 months.  Seems to be the same: "Hi this is [Name here - usually Ashley] calling.  We Spoke last week [no we didn't] about reducing your monthly payments [I don't have any].  This will be your last courtesy call [oh.. if only]. Please call 888 261 4568 and have your statement in hand [so we can defraud you of something]"

Call actually came in from 603-214-3671 and was purposely cut off with a woman beginning with leaving the message that she'd found "a solution" and that it was good I was making "monthly payments" and I should call her back at 888-261-4568. She seemed to be portraying herself as a bill collector. Irritating in this economy when so many of us are really getting calls from bill collectors. Guess it's fashionable these days to rob from the poor to make big money. I mean, call people who are overwhelmed with bills and debts and scare them into falling for your scam.

I did NOT call this woman back...

Called my cell phone and left the same message everyone else got. It started "Hey guys" and said I had called them last week to discuss lowering my credit card rates. I don't have any credit cards and have never spoken with them. The call came in from 978-570-2313, but they asked me to call back at 888-261-4568. I've asked them previously to remove my number, and have been reporting them on the Do Not Call Registry complaint page.

A long voice mail message about  "interest rate reduction"  to my unlisted cell phone number which I've had for years and known by only a handful of people.  I don't carry any credit card debt or have a mortgage.  They're obviously just rotating through a sequence of telephone numbers.  An illegal and highly annoying call.

I got the same call from Ashley Martin.  The phone number on my cellular phone said it came from Bozeman, Montana the number is 406-219-2951 and it was Ashley Martin, she said we spoke the other night.  I don't talk to anyone about credit cards or interest payments due to my not having any.  I alway pay everything off.  The number she wanted me to call her back at was 888-261-4568.

Got the same message today, just minutes ago from (406) 219-2951 from the Bozeman, MT area with this same exact message from page one:

"Hey guys, Ashley Martin here. Hey we spoke recently about trying to lower your interest rates and reducing your monthly payments on your credit card. So wanna get back to let you know they did find a solution to a nonprofit agency. We've got a program that can lower your interest rates to as low as one.5% and possibly cut those another payments in half and since you are only making the minimum payments this would be great opportunity for ya. This will be my last courtesy call so please give me a ring today. You can reach me at 1-888-261-4568. And don't forget you have your most recent statement on hand if you give me a call. The number again is 1-888-261-4568"

SCAM!! Do not fall for this. Also using *67 in front of a 1-800/888 number does not work!

I got the same call it was connected to three different numbers 1-406-219-2951 and 1-614-383-8006 and then finally 1-888-261-4568.  They left me a voicemail message asking that I call them back with my most recent statement in hand.  My first thought was what statement?  Then I had my wife check it out and found this website.  I guess I won't be returning that phone call.  I really don't like the fact that they called my cell phone.

If you receive calls or you want to fight back against these Telecommunications Practices Act (TCPA) Do Not Call List violators you can certainly file a TCPA complaint, but I recommend you call them 3-4 times a day pretending to want their services and then treat them with the most vile and vulgar disrespect. They are never going to stop what they are doing. They say they are a non-profit and yet they will not give their corporate name, legal address or website. Your only defense is to *67-1888-261-4568 block your number and give it to them.

These people are scum, so waste their time and make them hurt.

I got a call about 10 minutes ago from this number on my cell. It came up as 406-219-2951 but told me to call 888-261-4568. Area code 406 is in Montana FYI.
Again the front end was chopped off, she never mentioned her name, gave me a different number to call her back at than the one she called from and I don't have credit cards.

Same thing as the others - didn't even ring (although that might be from bad cell coverage)
Rather than telling them to put you on the Do-Not-Call list (which is really just a confirmation that you are a real, live person who cares), if you are inclined to give them heck, call back, ask to speak to a manager and ask for $500-$1,500.
When they incredulously ask why, tell them they are in violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act of 1991.  It's a federal law which makes the following illegal (among other things):

-  Solicitors must provide their name, the name of the person or entity on whose behalf the call is being made, and a telephone number or address at which that person or entity may be contacted.  (The cut-off voicemail is a violation).

-  Solicitation calls cannot be made to residences with artificial voices or recordings.  (If you are cell-only, that's your residence phone and it is illegal (or at least tell them you think it is))

-  Calls cannot be made with artificial voices or recordings to cell phones or to any service in which the recipient is charged for the call.  (If you are charged for the call, it is a violation).

Here's the part about the money:  In the event of a violation of the TCPA, individuals are entitled to collect damages directly from a solicitor for $500 to $1,500 for each violation, or recover actual monetary loss, whichever is higher.

Have fun with that.

The beginning of the message is purposely cut off in hopes that you will call the 800# to find out who it is - also note that she never gives you the name of her company in her lengthy speil about reducing your debt.

I called and spoke to a "Jesse" asked him to tell his supervisor that they were never to call my number again and that I would be reporting them to Better Business.  I also advised him to google his 888# because it was widely known that this is a huge scam.

I pray that they call back....
