Demand a legitimate, physical address in which to send a cease communication letter VIA certified mail with return receipt requested. If they refuse, let them know you will be seeking legal counsel who will get it for you and will be filing a harassment lawsuit.

I am getting calls from this number about 2 times a week. Good to see it IS a scam.
I have no debt. I am really pissed about this. I've contacted my bank and cc company and they both say it is suspiucious too.
How can we get this to STOP?

How do you know they were white guys?  You said they were calling on a telephone, right?   Why is is necessary to point out the color of someone's skin.  I am a Diversity Officer and I have worked with people from every corner of the earth and every skin color.  I find no reason to point to race, creed, religious preference, sexual orientation, or the color of someones skin.  
I am sorry about the calls, I am getting them, also.  Personally, I am reporting them to the proper authorities and I doubt they will be bothering people much longer.  God Bless!

This number calls several times every morning, except Sundays, at around 8 am. They first will call, let it ring maybe once or twice, hang up then call right back and let it ring until someone answers only to hang up as soon as phone is answered. This has been going on for weeks now and is very annoying!

I got a call from that number and they said the were a collection agency, Vital recovery services.  I stayed on the line long enough to speak with a woman who requested my phone number so she could look up my "account' (so-called).  I remained polite and just said that my phone was an unpublished number that I don't give to anyone but family - but didn't she have caller ID?  In any case I know I don't owe anyone money.  She went on about how if i did give her my number that I would continue to receive their annoying calls (that's an illegal threat, not to mention unethical) I politely replied saying that it only takes about 5 minutes to call and get a new phone number. What the hell I figured - it's an unpublished number that I never give out to more than a dozen people so changing it is no big deal - that's what I did.

I tried talking to them, they keep calling with this Dufuss voice leaving a message like this guy is a King or something.  When I ask to talk to the guy who leaves messages sometimes.  The Lady told me that is recording only.  So when I asked that the very first step in contacting me is a Falsehood, you expect me to blindly believe you.  Your very first contact with me was a lie.  So anyhow I said what is it you want, they said that they are recovering for the behalf of Sun Bank.  When asked for her whole name and SSAN after she asked for mine, she hung up.  WOW

They are calling my job, but not saying anything. It's just embarrassing because I have no idea why they are calling

Get with your Attorney to have their office answer by forwarding your phone number to Him or Her.  At my practice, I have a Legal person from my office due a recording.  They never leave a message.  I have a extra phone line that I am not using.

They keep calling about 30 times, Office, House, and Cell.  A recording that sounds like someone is call on a Speaker Phone.  I have called back twice.  Both times two different females answer.  When they give a name  which is not correct but similar.???  They want verification of my address and full social security number.  I said if you know me and know that I owe a debt, then you know my social security number.  Then give me my last four.?  She said we are not allowed to give out that information.  So I requested her full name and full social security number, she refused.  Go Figure, but she wants mine?  Right.!!!!  Then I said give me your real office phone number, not the 888 number she refused.  Then at least your real address?  She refused.  Then I said just give me your full name then, She Refused.  So I said this is America, 3 strikes and you are out.  Like Baseball,  She hung up on me.  Just like those Bottom Feeders to want everything and give nothing.  VRS === Virtually Ridiculas and Stupid.  And I know I misspelled the Middle one.  HaHa

They keep calling  but never say who they want to speak with...I just got this number and get calls for the person who used to have it all the time...they need to say who they are calling for...I just let the calls go to voice mail and delete them...it is a computer calling anyhow...if it were that important a person would be on the other end

Keep getting calls from 888-262-3446 but 424-235-4858 quickly displays and shows Unknown caller.  No message is left. They just hang up.

Add these morons to the list of about 20 numbers calling me daily and hang up if you answer or just let the phone ring 15-20 times.  Why did I bother to renew with DNC if these jerks can get away with this?  Where's our "watch dog" agencies when we need them?

The phone # is a debt collector.  The person they are trying to reach no longer has this phone number.  I have asked to be removed from the automatic dialing system,  I talked to tami shedhi at extention 3873 and she says she is removing the number but they keep calling every morning.  I have called back for the last time to have my number removed.  I hope this time they listen.

Twelve years out, the object is to get you to admit you're responsible so the Statute of Limitations on open accounts in your state can be restarted, permitting a debt buyer to sue you. The burden of proof is on the collectors, not you. Sending them your documents is a waste of paper. They respond to money and lawsuits. They ignore excuses and stories about why you can't pay.

They keep trying to collect from you because "no money" is not a defense, and "talk to you later" is an invitation they cannot resist. If ex-hubby is demonstrably or legally responsible for that card debt, you're safe to send a "cease-communication" letter. How that's done I've discussed before:

If ex-hubby obtained credit in your name, or you're somehow contractually obligated to pay, you may easily be placed on the hook. You can send a different letter disputing the claim and banning all phone calls. State law may help with the particulars if you end up defending in court.

Recording saying "you have a message, I will connect you now.  Sorry to keep you waiting, I'm still trying to connect your call."  Don't know who the "F" they are, but I'm going to give them an ear full when we do "connect".  .

They call and leave messages repeatedly live and recorded asking for a James Luber. They are rude and threatening and refuse to identify themselves.

Called at 8:10am. A bit early for this crap. No message left.

they called my cell phone asking for my husband and said if this is the mrs not to listen to the message, I did anyway and my husband is suppose to call them back, we have no debt,  i would like to know where they get the phone numbers from?

keep getting calls from this number 888-262-3446  I have asked them to stop calling my house harassing my family just call right back within a minute after hanging up.  One person said ARE YOU FINISHED NOW after calling my house.  Yesterday kept calling me right back.  Just simply harassing me and not stating who they were.  Repeatedly called my home yesterday being sarcastic and harassing.  Harassing someone over the phone is illegal especially after I have told them to stop calling me for well over a month now.  And then yesterday Dec 12, 2012 two different White guys just kept calling my home after telling them to stop harassing my family.  I reported the number.

this is a scam rgey claim i owe money for a credit card! one problem i'm 28 and have never ever in my life had a credit card and my banking account is only savings no atm or debt card. i pay with cash

They call twice a day and have done so for a month. They left a recorded message once, but it was garbled by static. Now, I just hit ignore...no messages and there has not been ONE correspondence via mail.

I keep getting calls from this number too and they never leave messages.  I got a call from an "unkown" number Such I picked-up thinking it was my dad as his work number doesn't show.  It was Vital Recovery Services calling about a Suntrust card that I had the I was working with a company that stopped taking payments for some reason.  I told VRS this and they acknowledged this and that $1600 was applied to the balance...I told them I was willing to work with them (and explained my financial situation and how my budget was pretty tight) but wouldn't do anything unless I had paperwork conforming things....I have a feeling the last company just took my $$ and I want to know what deal I am getting and payment scheduleand how much will go to the balance etc.  Whatever you do don't do anything until you have paper in hand.

I hate those callers that don't say whose calling

They must be lying to the BBB because the BBB gave them an A+ rating 135 issues and they said they were all resolved. The BBB gets this final info from the company in question.  How do I know this you say?

I received a call from them.  They claimed to be Vital Recovery Services Inc.  and that they were trying to get payment on a credit card i had through my bank.  
They said they had sent mail about it and told me information about my bank and my address and the last four digits of my ss#.
But they got upset when I said I would not give them information about my income and asked why the bank had never contacted me about this.  

After talking to them I contacted my bank who couldn't find any record of a credit card due.  I also talked to the company that issued the credit cards.  No debt..
