This number is one of about a dozen or so numbers associated with the eNRG Research Group Winnipeg field offices. They are one of the leading, most respected market and public affairs research firm in Canada, with experience in many different sectors. The calls you are receiving are legitimate, and strictly for research purposes, and or offering a chance to participate in a paid focus group study. It's definitely not a scam, and like all other marketing companies that primarily conduct their business over telephone, they do have numbers you can call if you wish to have your phone number removed from a study.

Thay call us (Ontario, do not call list) as well. "unknown name" They do not leave any messages.

Yes NRG is a legitimate company.  I once participated in 1 of their paid focus groups.  I just got a call this afternoon but didn't answer because I didn't know who was calling due to a lack of name on the display.  I wish they would use a name on the display since I did sign up for their paid focus groups!!!

Very annoying.  They've called a few times over the past couple of days.  I have added them to my list of blocked numbers.

Just rec'd this call. It was a lady asking to do an $80 paid survey. She asked if anyone in the household was 18-29 years of age.

They called my DO-NOT-CALL land-line in British Columbia at 19:36 yesterday.

A Google-search seems to indicate that they are a respected research company,
i.e., previously contracted by the B.C. Government to report on transportation options in the Greater Vancouver area.

Ocurrs like a legitimate research consultant...e.g. focus groups for travel in Pacific NW, or agricuture (Rural Routes). If I start getting more phone solicitations then I'll know I was phished.
They offered $85 to participate, then asked some questions including past travel, age, household income, and would I stay in a hotel in the suburbs.Then said the group was full. I called back to the number and was satisfied that they are doing research...(or if not, they have a well oiled schtick)
