I keep getting these calls at least 1x a week from 888 271 2712
Normally I just hang up but I listened all the way through and am ticked off, I have no overdue bills.
They claim this is a from a debt collector.
Then ending the call it discussed a business matter.
I want to call this firm, but am concerned this could be a scam and forwarding to some other # and then I get hit with big bills.
I have forwarded this to FTC and BBB (a fat lot of good that will do).

It is a recording that starts halfway through, gives you a number to call to get your number removed, and gives you a 3 second pause to listen in private. Then the message ends. I do not owe anyone any money and am current on all payments. These calls come frequently.

Debt Collector
I got the same call every day on my cell. The call mentioned that I should call back if they want my number removed. However, I don't believe this is how it should work. There must be something we can do to make them stop calling. Why should anyone go out of their way to make people stop bothering them.

Debt Collector
Have received calls on my answering machine on the following dates & times.
8/15/12 (12:09PM) 8/17/12 (12:58PM) 8/20/12 (10:16AM) 8/21/12 (12:23PM) 8/22/12 1:34PM.
These calls are recorded calls.  They are all the same stating if you are not the person mentioned do not listen and if you are you are given 3 minutes to listen in private and to call them at the above address.
I have not called back to ask them to stop calling my number as I am thinking this could be a scam.  As far as this being for me or anyone in this household, it can not be because we have absolutely no debts.  Would like these calls from this agency to be stopped.

Left a half-a**ed robo message, which starts somewhere past the beginning. Then the message goes into a song and dance about how you can't let anybody else hear the message, and then they b.s. you with something about how, if you listen to the message, then you are "admitting" to being somebody the robo dialer names.

Then they say they are collecting a debt, but they do not say who they are, or what "debt" they have in mind. Pathetic. I would call back the number and give them a piece of my mind, but these bullies, thieves and thugs could be operating one of those scams where you get charged big bucks for calling some number.

Or could it be my friends at Portfolio Recovery with a new schtick  -- after all, since they "ceased collection efforts" on some totally unverified debt from 1997, after issuing a fraudulent 1099-C to the IRS from nearly $5000,  they have called the house an additional 130 times over more than a year. Idiots.

This is Superior Credit Corp., stating they are calling on behalf of PA collections bureau.  My phone # was associated with a delinquent acct. for Foreign Franchise taxes & Corp. Net Income taxes.  The woman I spoke with (Jada Lee) was very nice & took my # out of her system when I told her I had no affiliation with this acct. or the person they were looking for.  (Robert Tousaw)
