Received a voicemail from Ariana alleging a debt and leaving this number.  When I called back, they asked for my phone number, which they obviously already had from caller ID, my name, which could be obtained easily with my phone number, and then asked for my Social so they could call up my file.  When I told them there was no way I was giving them that, they said they couldn't help me and hung up.  When I called back and hit 4 for "legal" per their phone tree, I got a garbled message and a machine to leave a message.  When I then hit the code for operator assistance I got disconnected.  

Since I don't owe anybody anything I am convinced this is either a scam or a phishing operation.  Either way, do not give them any information.  

Legal debt collection is done by mail, not by phone.  I have been at the same address for 30 years.  If you don't have my address, you don't have a legal note to collect.

WHAT KIND OF SCAM

filed chapter 7 on march 1st and relieved of all debt on may 1st on 06-29-2011 bass & associates called my number and asked if i would make arrangements to pay the debt i owed best buy or return items i purchased, i know i filed only out of necessity,after paying my bills on time for 40 years,and i would like to know why i would be responsible two months after my case was closed.

Collector Patti Bass is again broke and needs money $$$$$$$$

They are a bunch of scam artists don't give them any information.

My landlord received a call this morning at 7:20 am and wanted to know if I was there to speak to???? She passed on the message to me in the late afternoon and she wondered how Ralph from Bass & Assoc. got her phone number????? I haven't given it to anyone so I questioned it also!!!!! I'm so glad that I went on-line thanks to my Google Bookmarks to your site..... Thanks ..... It sounded fishy to me from the beginning so I won't be returning Ralph's call ..... Great website to keep people informed ......

Sounds dubious

Actually I owe this place money, they are a collection agency verified by my Oregon State Bar lawyer. They buy accounts that are re affirmed.

REcieve a call asking for my mom.  They knew hew name and said they were with Bass and associates.  They said they were a law fim but they Bass and Associate are not.

I think they may have changed their name to Bassett and Assoc. That's who "Marco" said he represented when my ex-wife answered the phone.

Wanted to sleep in this morning put oh well this nut calls me early SATURDAY morning! When I do not answer he called my ex-husband!! Says they are a Law Firm!! What a crock! A Harrassment Firm!!!

I got a call from this number today and the caller ID said Toll Free Call so I let it go to voicemail.  When I checked the messages the caller had just hung up.

Received call from this number on 7-11-07 @9:14am cst.  I didn't recognize the number so I let it go to voice mail.  The woman on the phone (Amy)said the company she was calling from was the Law Office of Bass & Associates PC.  I did save this message so I have proof they lied about being a lawfirm! Now I know they are not and are lying about what type of firm they are.  I am glad I researched this number!
