I was shopping around for Life Insurance for my Aunt.  I used my cell number as the call back.  Since she is over 80, no one would insure her.  However, I kept getting calls from this number soon after, which I don't answer because I didn't know who they were.  When I called back a gentleman said, Hello is this Jane.  So they have our number and name in their caller id return list.  I told them No I was not Jane, he cut me off and said I'm sorry, we must have the wrong number and hung up.  Then I called back and said why did you hang up on me.  I just said I was not Jane, however I was calling on her behalf.  Then he said, oh well she had called looking for Life Insurance.  I said, No, I called looking for life insurance for her but was told she was too old to insure.  Then he said ok and hung up again.  So I called back to tell him how rude he was and then got a message stating that "your number is on our do not call list, if you would like to be removed from the list..."  So, I guess if you keep calling them back and harassing them, they will remove you.  :)

If it is from quote wizard it is for car insurance.  The caller just hangs up.

Quotewizard makes sense; I recently started receiving these calls and I did a request on that site.

They are more of a scam than anything else. They keep calling and calling until you call them back. When you attempt to ask for a manager or supervisor they argue with you. I had to first yell at the agent that I want a manager with power to do something not an agent who read's a script. Got the manager and complained about the calls and that I wanted my number removed, he proceeded to read me the riot act about how I submitted my number, how they never get complaints. Its too bad too as I was/am shopping around for insurance.

Funny thing is with the agent, he asked if I was getting dropped calls or if I was on the Do Not Call list. So they know what is going on, they just do not care.

I just got a call from this number, ignored it but called it back.  It was someone from insureone.com or something like that.  I requested info on car insurance to complete a free offer, and they were just verifying my information.  I asked them to remove me from their call list and they did.

I'm experiencing the same thing.  I started getting calls from this number on 5/4; they called three times that day.  Then again twice on 5/5; twice on 5/6; and twice yesterday 5/10.  Calls come in, but they don't leave a message.  I don't care for these calls either and deathly afraid of getting scammed, so I don't answer.  It's ticks me off though.

I'm experiencing multiple calls for this number. I never get a name or message left it is raising my blood pressure and making me ill.

This unwanted call came on my cell, and since I have a 'tracfone prepaid' which gives the number ID, I don't answer until I find out who it is.. This cell number is on the national do not call list.  Don't they have to answer to that Federal Goverment Regulation?

This number is from Quotewizard. If you show interest in car insurance quotes online from certain companies, this company takes the number and contacts you. I was taken off the list upon calling them back.

I recieve at least 4 to 8 calls a day from 888-293-0561 and they never leave a message and wont stop calling.

I just received two missed calls from this number within ten minutes They didn't leave any messages.

Said they were named Coulton and they work for multiple companies. Probably a nusiance call.

Called from my magic jack, asked who it was before I gave them my actual #, it's just a follow up from an insurance inquiry I made. Gave them my actual ph# and they removed me from the list.
