They called my extension at State Government, it appears that they are dialing numbers randomly. They got into a schpiel about winning a Ford Explorer before I told them not to call a government number with telemarketing.

Just got a call from this number.  The person said "It's Mike and I really need to talk with you."

"Uh, hey this is Mike, it's REALLY important that I talk to you guys as soon as possible. Please call me back at 1-888-294-1603. Thank you." Voice mail on my 800 number.

"Uh, hey this is Mike, um, it's REALLY important that I talk to you guys as soon as possible. Please call me back at 1-888-294-1603. Thank you." Message on my work voice mail.

Same message - They don't bother to change their script. We did not call back.

Same the others. SOme female about Ford Explorer or 25K in cash.

I also just received the same letter.... Mark Sims the VP of the "Travel Awards Divison" informed me that I had won 2 tickets with a vale of up to $1,400.00. I need to respond by March 5th, 2010 so I can receive my prize. Mark Sims would like for me to call if I choose to decline the award so some other poor soul can get scammed. His number is: 1-888-844-1603 & my confirmation is: 8940.

Just got a call from this number and it hung-up as soon as I answered.  I suspected it was one of those automated dialing deals and it appears I was right.  My location is Sumter, SC.

Just got the same call Sumter SC.  I called back three times and the phone was automatically picking up and sounded very busy in the background.  I could hear people talking but couldnt make out what was being said.  No one ever actually got on the phone though.  My number is unlisted and is an internet phone?

received a call on 06/05/08 @ 11:00 AM. No message or name but just left this phone number.

I just received the same call 1-888-294-1603, Hi, this is Mike its very important that I talk to you guys call me back at see above....what ever and on my caller id it just says toll free number as if you would ever answer those calls

"it" called me today at my work.  When I answered, phone was dark,dead, silent.... I'm lucky I guess!

Same call and message at my work phone. I work at a nuclear station and this number is definitely not listed so I don't know how they got it or what they want.

I just got this same message from 888-294-1603 at my WORK number which is an unplubished state number!!!!!

Something has got to be done with these kind of people. What can we do.

I had a message on my WORK phone from MIKE - "it is important you guys call me back as soon as possible at 888-294-1603."

I called back and the automated answering person just says "Hello - a representative will be with you shortly"    Then someone answers (AMANDA) and asks how she can help me.  I said someone named Mike asked me to call.  She said she would pull up my info...I asked What info?  She said it was a prize drawing and I was selected to win a Ford whatever.  I asked where they got my name from and she said I entered like 6 months ago...  NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I told them I do not know how they got my work number and do not know what was so important and they are not to call me back.  BIG HOAX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Whomever called did not answer when I picked up the phone, but rather promptly hung up the phone.

Wow I won a Ford Explorer! - same old crap - a local radio station called them back once. You either won the car, $25K in cash, a boat or a 35mm camera with 'optical' lens. ALL lenses are optical. The camera is probably worth $2. I think they were pushing timeshare sales. One of these work at home jobs, people clone a caller ID and call everybody. The sexy 'Mandy' version was much better than dorky 'Mike'- Mandy sounded like a slutty New Jersey truck stop waitress- mmmmBye.

I got the same message during the lunch break "Hey, this is Mike.  It's really important that I talk to you guys soon.  Call me back at 888-294-1603." Williamsburg, VA.

Strange... just got the message at 8:30 in Chesapeake, Virginia from 18882941603 Saying "This is Mike, it's really important to call me back at 18882941603."  Reverse phone searches don't reveal the source.  I called the number and the voice message said to call back during business hours.  With out a doubt someone trying to make money....

same as above...  doesn't the phone owner pay for inbound calls?  should set up a nice automatic callback system.....
