Received call yesterday.  They left no VM.

If you have Windstream Phone Service for you land line please follow these instructions.

Press Talk: when you hear the dial tone, *60131#
Next follow these instructions to turn your avoid a call service on.
I use this all the time, and keep a list of numbers and dates and times that I have added these to my list, after a while they will stop because these calls cannot go through.
Once your list is full, delete the oldest number from your list to add others.
Delete 07
Add last call 01#

Decided to answer.  Short, automated 3-question survey on health care/insurance.  Most likely politically based since questions asked about health care reform

I get these calls to my cell phone, and so the number shows on my caller ID.  Since no one I CARE about has an 888 prefix, I've told my FRIENDS if they are calling from a number I don't recognize, I WON'T answer it, so leave a message and I'll call back.  If they don't leave a message, sorry but they won't get to hear from me.

2 calls today also, about 2 hours apart...i pick up and instantly hang up...the do not call list is useless,...i don't answer any toll free calls anymore...

I just got a call from DAT research. They were asking about health care reform, which I believe the Federal Government should stay the HELL out of, they screw EVERYTHING else up, they can stay the hell out my health care. At any rate it was a 3 question push button survey.

I got a call from this number and it was from DAT. I did some research and it was the Democratic Party acting like a survey company. That is why they ask questions about health care and sometimes they ask if you are for stricter gun laws. It is all related to this ACORN mess.

Something to consider before ditching you lan line is that you cannot accept collect calls on your cell phone.  Our son is going into the military and we asked Verizion about that.  Just a heads up.  We contacted our Attorney General and he sent the company calling a letter.  We received one from the company saying they took our name out of their system.

I just got this same call, press 1 if you have health insurance, press 2 if you don't or on medicare.  If you don't press anything they give the 888 number, I suspect to fit into the legal requirements of conducting a "survey".  Yeah, right.  In a Google, I see no company by the name DAT Research.

It is from DAT research.  ?????  That is what was the recorded message when I called back the  number.

This is the first call from this number. No message as usual. When will it end?

Answered call today... the recording said it was D.A.T. Research.  It was an automated survey.

Called, I did not answer.  I suspect soliciting.  I am on the "Do Not Call List", but still get calls.

i agree. this land line is no longer useful when i have to run from the yard or thru the house to find that it's another unsolicited call from some kind of demented company.  i now work from home and have been getting calls from various unknown phone#'s daily, multiple times, for years.  usually do not answer because there is no resolve to requesting ph# deleted from their list - they just hang up in middle of conversation.
this is truely harrassment.  apparently going on countrywide.  don't even bother calling verizon or the agency in charge of monitoring the do not call lists.  THEY have no idea how to stop these calls.   what the heck
