I just received a phone call from that number asking me if she could speak to Louise I said speaking then she hang up

I live in Toronto and have been getting calls from people claiming that they are calling from Call Select.  They all have Spanish accents.  Please note that it is a scam.  They are trying to get your service and even change your telephone number.  Beware.  The number that they are calingl from is 1-888-308-7968.  I have an account for Call Select in Vancouver which is genuine because I have been with them for years but the SCAM people are identifying themselves as Call Select.  SO BEWARE OF 1-888-308-7968.  That is not the real Call Select.  Actually they are saying that they have just bought over Call Select.  They have not.  The genuine Call Select is stationed in Vancouver.  You can Google and call them yourselves.

I have a feeling they are running a telemarketing scam, I hang up on them. Don't give them any of your personal 411.

Greetings, I've gotten a call from this number a few times over the last few months. Decided for the first time to answer today. Seems to be a man with a thick Indian accent claiming to be calling on behalf of comwave. I didn't bother to listen for long, but most differently a scam.

I got a call from this number.  Someone with a very think Indian/Pakistani accent said he was calling from some phone company (I couldn't make it out) and asked about my long distance.  Told him I wasn't interested but he kept reading his script; so I hung up on him.

Hello everyone. I get calls from this number too. First time they called they where trying to sell home security, now when they call its for long distance phone calls at a reduced rate. I think very much a scam. I also googled the company name of CALLER SELECT DISTANCE CALL. And just as I thought its a fake company. Please people dont be fooled by these crooks. Im going to keep on these guys, Hopefully I can get an e mail address from them and then have some real fun with them. ;). Any info I collect I will post here.

This guy called me today, claiming to be from comwave. He tells me I won something, and got angry when i refused it. He also had a thick indian accent, and i think he is the same person who called me claiming i won a cellphone plan. He asks for my address and everything... Creepy.

got call from same number. asked if i spoke french. i said no. he hung up..i called back. same person answered in perfect english. asked him why he asked me if i spoke french. he hung up again

Called today - I didn't answer - they left no voicemail.....But next time they call I will answer, and have some fun jerking them around.  Thanks for all the input everyone !!  This should be fun !

Just got a call from 18883087968. The man on the phone claimed to be from Comcast. Gave some BS about giving me free phone service. Poor call quality and can't take no for an answer.
I have to disconnect him just to get him to shut up.

i get a call every day at least once a day from this number, whenever i do answer it, there is no one there.

i have tried to call the number back, but a machine says "this number is no longer in service, please check the number an try your call again." but in some europian accent i do not recognize.

how do we report them? and who do we report them to?

Got ANOTHER call from exactly the same number:  1-888-308-7968; displayed as "International" caller ID.  This time it was from "Mike". Last week the phone number was 1-866-288-5779; displayed as Comwave caller ID.  and it was from "Moses".  All from Comwave...telling me that I have a $5.00 credit on my account, when I don't have an account. When I asked for my imaginary "account" information like what our address was, I was told that they did not have an address, only an ID number and a  contact phone number. I told them that was odd and "you must have all that info in front of you on your computer contact screen if I have an account like you say I do".  Mike promptly changed the subject... Needless to say, these idiots do not take no for an answer.  I registered two complaints against them on the National Do Not Call list and HOPE that it helps!!!  Is there anyone else out there that has registered a complaint and has had success?

they call me to; i would wish that our RCMP would get involved with scams like this; they shouldn't be allowed to make a nuisance of themselves.

Scam. Apparently from Canada(BC) . asked him  to give me the # of nhl teams that are in canada.  he passed me on to someone else without telling me.  the next guy couldnt give me the #. i told them it was a scam and hung.  they were trying to sell long distance packages. SCAM . Do not trust these phone #.
No call center  reps would talk the way these folks do. I work in a inbound call center and trust me there are strict guidelines. When you call this number back, it goes directly to the same person.

Called me today; I didn't answer; caller didn't leave message. I'm in the Toronto area.

this number keeps calling my house, I think last week they mentioned long distance, today they called, I answered and no one was there so I called it back it says the person from ext 8883087968 is unavailable and to leave a message...I have called about 20 times now and keep setting off their answering machine the way they do mine!! :)

How many of you Has had an account with Virgin mobile ..I did..I called them a year ago and cancelled them but they kept my account active and kept charging me...??..Anyway got a call 2 days ago from collections ..phone # 1 888 326 1011...then i start getting calls from this #1 888 308 7968....i don't know about all you people but i'm thinkin it's someone who works with collections and has access to all your info ...then starts calling you or (PHONE STALKING) as i would put it..Very sick people in the world ..This is my thought ..But i hope the calls stop!
