Boy, these people are persistent! Gatestone has been calling every other day or so since August, switching between this number and 866-648-6165. I block both numbers (using a Panasonic cordless phone) but every now and then I check to see what's been happening. Before I blocked them I noted that they were robocalls asking somebody (not me) to call them back. You'd think they'd have figured out by now that nobody is going to do that. I guess the gradual coming of voice mail, call display and call blocking has confused these people.

also 416-925-2848 is the same people, asking me for someone with the same last name as me but not anyone I know or am related to.  Informed of this and they still keep calling

If they call and ask for someone else, it's just a ploy.  Don't be fooled!!  As for the person who said "call enter work is hard".  These are collection agencies...not telemarketers.

I want you to know there are also people who use "spoofing-type" cards that make it appear you are being called by certain numbers.  It may actually be the people from that number. But there are nasty, jealous people who pretend to be nice to you and a friend and they do these things with these "cards" and then laugh behind your back!

This company collect corp works for Natale Law Office and from doing homework and making some phone calls they are trying to collect for cogeco cable however Natale Law Office is currently under investigation for unethical parctices and sending false legal documents.
I certainly do have an outstanding Cogeco bill but i refuse to pay it since an employee of cogeco came to my home a refused to leave my house and even put his foot in my door not allowing me to close my own door to him and then left a very threatening message on my voicemail, i have cancelled my service with cogeco and gone with Bell and had no problems since this.
Even when i tried to report the incident to cogeco they claimed that i was a liar and when i played the voicemail that this idiot left on my machine cogeco said i made it myself and hung up on me.
In any event NEVER give out your personal info to anyone over the phone and if its a cogeco problem tell cogeco where to shove their outstanding bill :)))

Persistant calling electronically.  Requesting a call back for an important personal message.

Ils appellent à tous les jours, à différentes heures depuis 2-3 mois.  Toujours le même blabla.  "C'est un appel pour... avec un numéro de dossier."
En anglais. C'est une compagnie de recouvrement en Ontario. Je ne les connais pas. Je ne les rappelle pas. J'ai déposé une plainte au LNNTE  et le CRTC.  
C'est du harcèlement.

Ive gotten an electronic voice call from this number listing the number and talking about speaking to an analyst about a personal business matter. Ive googled the number and found it is a Collection Agency for sure and is probably Collect Corp.

I get a call, but they never answer when i call back.

Also keeps calling my cell phone asking for a person who I don't know...  This has been going on for over a year and I have to pay for every cell phone message I receive because I am not really a cell phone user and I just use it for emergencies.  I pay .20 for every one of their horrible messages!!!  It's terrible.  I've tried calling the number to get them to stop, but there is no answer.

Finally called the number, and got a recorded message from Collect Corp.

You all have a computer, a phone, and presumably, a brain.

My husband had 3 calls from this number in one 24-hour period.

I Googled the number, and learned that the calls were from a company called Collectcorp  

Googled "collectcorp" and called the one in Toronto (local and toll-free numbers are provided) and asked them to remove my husband's cell phone # from their list.  Asked why they called; they said the number had been provided by a client.  Told them we owe nothing to anyone, and that my husband uses his cell only to call home, my cell, and his doctor.  They promised to remove the number from their list.

Certainly you could try the same.

I also get called by the collection agency often, asking for some man I have never heard of. When I call to get off their list, they ask me questions about the last time I saw him, etc. Arg!

It was a prerecorded and they want you to call them back. I didn't owe any money to anybody, so please stop calling or erase me in your data base.

Harming the poor agent that is calling is not going to help you at all. Blowing a whistle into their ear possibly deafening them isn't going to do anything but hurt an employee that works their a** off for some corporate a** hole. Call center work isn't glamorous at all and in my experience it's the last choice for employment, but when you have bills to pay you take what you can.
I completely disagree with you suggestion, and no, I don't work for a collection company if that's what you're thinking..

I Get these Automated Calls (pre-recorded) from a Natali Law Office asking me to call them back continually & I know I don't owe anyone any money with no credit cards

I had a call from them today asking for Earl Soyier No idea who this person is and when I tried to call back and be removed from this list they did not pick up.

They are a collection agency with bad data.  When I tried to put a complaint into the CRTC Do Not Call website the form stated they were not calling from within Canada.

This company calls day after day.  I have told them repeatedly that they have the wrong number for the person they want "Shawn McQuigg" and I ask them to remove my number from their database.  They always promise to remove my number, but the very next day they are calling me again.  These calls have gone on for almost 8 months now.  The Canada Do Not Call Reporting system has done nothing to stop these calls.  I have reported them twice now.

This agency continually calls at all hours of the day, quite often twice or three times with a recorded message to call them back. Today, an acutal person was on the line (Chris) male...asking me about my bithdate, address etc. I told him I do not give out this type of information and requested he not call again.

I look after my eldery parents who are ill (90 and 85 yr. old) they get confused with these calls and worry.

I DO NOT OWE ANY MONEY TO ANY BODY AND I WANT THESE CALLS TO STOP.
