I too have received phone calls from Allied Warranty Services. They claim to be underwriters for the manufacturer.THIS IS ABSOLUTELY FALSE !!! I would suggest that when they make such statements that you take a moment to contact your State Attorney Generals office and file a complaint. This is the only way to put these snakes out of business. Personally I would only EVER purchase a warranty from the manufacturer or AUTHORIZED DEALER with the paper work that had the company's logo and SPECIFIC NAME on it. You are taking a chance on all others.
From someone who's been there and done that.....

Telemarketer
Allied American Warrenty, Dereck Fischer was the name. Said that they were out of Miami Fl. Wasted 20 min. of the guys time then he said that he made more money than me. But, he got paid hourly and I was not wasting his time. Then he said he made $1500 a month, then he said he made that in a week plus bonus money. I laughed the whole time.

I arrived home from work and my retired husband told me that he thought he had made a big mistake.  He had just hung up from a call from 703-291-9045 (Chicago, IL) he agreed to pay $500 now and $85 a month for 18 months for an extended bumper to bumper warranty on our 2002 chey truck that has 98,888 miles. Now that my husband is retired the truck mostly sits in front of our house and we have full coverage for an accident.  $2,500 can probably cover an engine or transmission.

I asked my husband if he wanted me to call and cancel and he said yes.  Well, of couse, no one answered the number given to him so, I left a message saying if they did not call back I would call the police. The $500 had already been taken from my husbands account.

They called back from 305-423-3779 (Miami, FL) the next day when I was at work and asked my husband if he did everything his wife told him.  BIG MISTAKE!  After a heated conversation the person (don't know if they are even legal in the US, my husband said he couldn't understand them)agreed to cancel the policy.  The $500 has not been refunded.  SURPRISE! Next stop, the bank, the police, and the Better Business Bureau.
