What a friggin scam, I do not have an account at Well Fargo.

I received 2 different text messages from this # from Sovereign Bank and Husdon City Savings both saying URGENT NOTICE please call and the #

I received two of these so far and this is a major company cell phone. I'll pass this around. Thanks.

well just got off the phone with the fcc i had over 34 messages from these idiots,,,,,,,they tell me these people are in japan!!!!,,,yes japan......he said who ever it is,,,,is so technology advanced they are able to tap in and steel telephone numbers from main frames in the usa,,,this is also going on in other states diffrent banks.....they also stole the 888 317 3670 number!!!!  and put a bogus message on it saying its eastern banks security line.......wow if they can do this what else are they capable of???? scary!!!!!

My husband received the same text and he also does not have an account. Thanks for the info, Buddy!

We recently emailed you to inform you that Eastern Bank has been made aware that customers, as well as non-customers, are receiving automated calls on their cell phones and landlines. We have also now been made aware that customers and non-customers are receiving text messages as well.

If you receive a telephone call:

?This is a call from Eastern Bank. Your MasterCard account has been locked.
Please press 1 now to unlock.?

The recording then instructs the individual to enter their debit card number. There may
also be a variation of this phone call that references other banks or asks the customer to enter their debit card number in order to activate it.

Please hang up and do not press 1.

Please be advised that this scam has been reported by the Massachusetts Attorney
General?s Office (www.mass.gov/ago) and these calls and text messages are not being made by Eastern Bank. This is a phishing attempt by criminals to obtain your personal account information. The criminals are calling telephone numbers and sending text messages randomly and do not know that you are an Eastern Bank customer. Never provide your debit card number or any other private information in response to an unsolicited phone call, email or text message.
