If this is the same Mutual Financial they have changed their # to 866-319-2328.  Caller was very loud and a tinge threatening.  She called from a cell # of 618-208-1307 and said she was Tiffany Miller.  from what I have read on here, I will be contacting the Ill Attorney General about this.

Todd Day called my employer and Doug Green called my cell phone. Both times giving me a different number to call back. They threaten me with coming to my work to serve me papers. I have reported them to the FTC, the BBB and my local attorney General. I hope something is done to these people!!!

I have recieved several messages stating that they have a claim against me. I am not aware of any claims that have been brought against me. They keep calling and harrassing me at my job. I try to call them back and keep getting a voicemail. I refuse to leave a message if they ahve a claim against me then they should have all my info. They same guy "Todd Day" also calls me and now they are using some guy named "Doug Green". I am so sick of these people bothering me at my job the next time they call me I'm gonna tell them that I ahve a claim against them for harrassment to see how they feel. I am going to report these people to the FTC and I will follow up with a report if they keep calling my job. From my understanding when I spoke to a police officer they are not allowed to act like they are going to serve me with any papers. That is against the law. I will follow this up with the FTC.

I just got called down to my HR department at work to talk with our Legal person about this same number 888-318-9763. The advice I was given from our legal rep was that a claim is not started until an address is verified, that's why they use all those big words to intimidate people into thinking it's something super serious. Not saying debt isn't serious but if folks don't have the money to pay back what they owe, then they just don't have it, and shouldn't be threatened in this way especially over a pay day loan. Anyway, the legal rep. from my company also told me that if any person should ever come to your job they can be arrested on sight. They have no legal authority to come to your job and serve you papers for this kind of matter. He informed me that our front desk secretary will call the police if they do, so I'm sure the same applies to all of you guys, especially if you work for a private company.

I've been receiving these calls this week too.  Its not the first time so I know the game to play.  I've started telling them I'll meet them at my local sheriff's office which seems to piss them off. I've decided if they call again, I'll give them that address to serve me for these so called claim and charges.

In any case, I had yet another go around with a Mr. Medina at Mutual Financial last night, went ahead and verified my address (I'm moving in 3 weeks anyway) and so far today all has been quiet.  I did get an address from him and will be adding that info the FTC claim I filed the first day they called.  He gave me PO Box 1822, Los Angeles, CA 90001.

They can call me all they want but it does bother me when they call family members and my job seeking info.  I'm also working on having my info removed from as many of those online people search sites as I can find.  It will be a long process but so far the ones I've checked do allow you to request they remove your info with a disclaimer that it does not remove what is legally available in public records like on court websites.  I'm also requesting blocks with every credit reporting company I can find including those like Chexsystems.  We'll see if it helps any.  I'm after removing the mention of family members as contacts moreso than keeping my contact info hard to find.

I got a message from ryan douglas telling me something about my employer. He was using big words but none of it made sense. The funny part is that i am disabled and have not been employed for years. When i was working, i was self employed. I owned a restaurant. Be careful of these people. One time i did have a bill in collections. I got a call from someone that sounded legit. I set up a paynent plan and started making payments. When i finished paying it off they said it would be removed from my credit report. It never was removed so i contacted the real company. They told me i had not payed anything to them . I found out i had been scammed. So make sure u know who you are talkung to before you pay anything.

I received a call from a "Mike Adams (number 717-255-1073)" stating he had some papers to serve me because I had charges and that I needed to call 888-318-9763 to find out the charges.  Mike had the AUDACITY to call my job's HR department and tell them I was about to be served!!! Strike number one!

888-318-9763 turns out to be a company called "Mutual Financial Partners." I asked about a website, email, and other contact information and the rep could not give me any information.

So I call 888-318-9763 and got Aaron Martin ext. 303 who continuously used terminology like "pre-litigation", "continuance" and "order to appear", when I questioned him about the jargon and where I was scheduled to "appear" he became frustrated and said I was being difficult and hung up on me.

They say I had a payday loan from 2007.

My wife is a teacher in CA and has been receiving these calls for months.  The person on the other end will generally go by a fake American name - like "Todd Day."  He will make threats about lawsuits and papers and legal summons, etc. It's generally best to inform your employer that you are receiving these, so that they know it is fraudulent and not representative of anything you have done wrong.  It is amazing what information these idiots have collected - names of administrators, managers, bosses, department heads, etc.  As frustrating and infuriating as it is, be at peace that you have done nothing wrong, and that several law enforcement agencies are working to discover the culprits.  If you are looking for ideas how to demonstrate your innocence to an employer, I would suggest sending them the link to this discussion forum.  The mentioned number is 888-318-9763, but I am sure that theses criminals probably change it often.

My husband received 6 of these at work today in various different departments at the hospital where he works.  They threatened to deliver papers if he did not call this number (888)318-9763 today and they left a name to contact, a Mike Adams who claimed to be a "Locator", and a seven digit claim number.  My husband is the head of his department and is therefore not often in his office or even his own department.  Even though the message did not state when today my husband needed to call back by, the calls and messages left with those calls later in the day became more forceful and rude.  At one point, this "Mike Adams" (no, I don't believe that is his real name, the only male name MORE generic would be "John Smith") said to one of my husband's employees, "Is he really not there or is he just across the hall and in his boss's office?"  This "Mike Adams" used my husband's boss's first name, and she is the CEO, as my husband reports directly to the CEO of the hospital.  This leads me to belive that the excessive phone calls were to gather information to make himself and his company seem more legitimate.  My husband called me at home and finally asked me to call and find out what this was about as he did not have the time. I called and the recording said that they were "Mutual Financial Partners".  When I got to an operator, she would only identify the company as a 'pre-litigation firm" and would not even tell me what the call was about or take the claim number.  She transferred me to an unidentified voicemail.  I left a message there requesting a call back, but you better believe I gave them our cell phone number.  I have searched for this telephone number and company, and have found nothing.  I would have kept finding nothing had I not looked up "pre-litigation".  Then I hit the jack pot with a ton of information on scams.  What happened to my husband today sounds like the textbook beginning of one of these.  If it is, I am so glad we found out now.  Has anybody else had an experience with this telephone number or company?  I will keep you posted.
