I just got the same call the call my relatives that I dont even talk to I would nrver give them their number aude I dont no their home number and when I called the back they said it was Progressive I think its illegal

I'm replying to all of you now - it's a shady debt collector and they're so full of it, it's laughable.  Read response to JC and know your rights.  You might also file a complaint online with the FTC.  Takes a couple minutes but worth it!

It's a debt collector and the "threat" of serving papers is so tiresome bc it's totally bogus.  Ignore them, pay whatever you can on whatever bill you might have, and don't answer calls that can't bother to legitmately ID their company name.

Ironically I had progressive so idk. Still waiting for those papers I guess unless someone posts more information if they called and actually spoke to someone

When you here Progressive you think of the Insurance co, not a law firm.

I called back yesterday and it also said progressive so I hung up. If its a legal matter wouldn't it go to a law firm? Wouldn't I be given paper work? Plus the 800 number comes out of Massachusetts. Its probab a Creditor but idk

They called my mother this morning with the same stuff talking about if I don't get in touch with them, they were going to send the big folks out to serve me. But when you call the number back it says Progressive! Do anybody have a clue about who this is.

I have received same types of calls they have contacted my job and family member that I have no relationship with and wouldve never! put any information on them on anything at anytime!  I have been told same thing that papers will be served and they give case number??? said they have been to my home address which they knew! I dont know what to think?

Received a call from this number and it appeared unknown letting me know i was going to be served with papers for two charges even though its coming from MA and I have NEVER been there. Does anyone have any information on numbers like that and and how ill be able to find out if its another harassing collector/
