I've gotten two calls stating the caller is from Metrohealth Patient Services and asking me to call 888-332-8666. I called back, thinking it was about a bill, and was asked my name and account number. I gave the caller my name and said I didn't have my account number on hand, I was just returning their call. He then asked for my date of birth to verify, which I gave, still figuring it was a legitimate call. He then said this was a free service for me to pay my account balance and would I like to pay with a credit card. At this point I asked if I was late with a payment, and that I actually was waiting for a call from Metrohealth for a refund. He said no, I wasn't necessarily late, this was just a "free courtesy service" to help in the payment of my bill. At this point I was suspicious and said I'd pay for my bill on my own.

I have NO outstanding debts I belong to TrueCreditreport.com I can get my credit report anytime I want and this co started to call me I called back right away and it goes right to a certain extension and then tells you to leave a message. Oh and when they left a message on my answering machine they give you 3 seconds to reply or they assume you are who you are and owe the debt nice set up to call between 8-4 when most people are at work then when you get home from work you cant get a hold of anyone at this number to STOP the calls.
I am recorded their messages and taking it to the BBB of NY and or an attorney.

Got at least 10 messages from 888 332 8666. Called back to ask who they are. They were extremely rude and started insulting me right a way (clearly not even a high school education there). They say "I am not going to tell you anything and you can keep calling us. Goodbye" and they hung up. Why would I keep calling them? I don’t need anything from them. They do. Why would I help them figure out if they are calling the right person if they are so rude? It takes a second to delete their messages every time they call. Anyway, they told me who they are trying to reach but weren’t able to verify if I am the person they are looking for because they hung up. How efficient!
They are clearly a collector with lousy staff not capable to achieve anyf any results. Their clients are waiting money and should hire more professional collectors who actually know how to collect.

It is a collection agency. They identified themselves as "KCA."
I guess they keep mysterious to have the "flagrant scofflaw"
call back out of curiosity. The fellow to whom I spoke was
very pleasant. Hope this helps.

These people called my elderly parents in another state looking for me. My dad was so worried. I finally got ahold of them and it was regarding a 3-year-old Verizon bill that was Verizon's mistake that I had cleared up over a year ago. The woman was extremely rude and said they would continue to call until I either paid or sent them proof via certified mail that I did not owe this money. I asked if they could at least stop calling my elderly sick parents. She said (verbatim) "We will call every single number we can to reach you, and we will continue to call and we will never stop calling."

I called the number back after receiving numerous calls for a woman named Ellen (I have no clue who this is). She said she is from KCA (or KCI) Financial. I told her she has the wrong number but I'm sure they will continue calling.

Calling for some name I cannot understand since it is a machine. I do owe Version $50 from over a year ago, but since a lot of you are saying this is a scam, and they are that rude. I won't bother answering. Wonder why it always shows up "TOLL FREE CALL"

As far as them adding fees to the "owed" bill my attorney gave me this:
" In Patzka v. Viterbo College, 917 F. Supp. 654 (W.D. Wis. 1996) the court held the debt collector violated the FDCPA by adding a collection fee and interest to a debt when such items were not permitted by state law."

calling my cell phone saying this is concerning a very important business matter
| Got a call 2 2008-09-18 05:17:11 Unknown |
I got a call from a Sharon Kassidy from KCA and she was the most rude stuck up person I have ever talked to in my life. I tried to explain my situation to her about my spouse dying and losing my business and I am trying to file for bankruptcy but she did not want to hear it. She kept on pushing for me to pay and started slinging insults my way, stating that I was making up my husband dying and she has talked to him on "this number" before - I got this phone AFTER he died and have no idea how she got my number. I cannot afford for a lawyer to file yet and I told her this and she calls me EVERY day. I just look at caller ID when my phone rings and if I see a 630 area code I let it go to message. What a lowlife.
| Damn right! 2008-09-11 13:18:25 Unknown |
You are damn right, people should pay their bills. But if they dont owe it or it is past the SOL then they dont owe the bill. So stop calling people over these bills that cant legally be owed. If you continue you will be sued. Remember it is the collectors burden to prove you owe a debt. If they cant them tell them to pound sand.

These guys are hilarious...I have this Vonage service now. They call me on my vonage phone line becuase it was my old Verizon number. Yes, I owe $200 to Verizon from like years and years ago, but they overcharged me for years and had a monopony on phone lines in my area for decades, so screw them! Vonage rocks and there isnt anything to do about it. Maybe if you would stop calling me Verizon I would subscribe to your Fios/Cable and yes VOIP! So literally, they have been calling about this measily $200 for years now and I kinda wanna see if there is a statute of limitations or who knows what happens...it seems like it costs much more money to call on this crap over the years. Surely, either a statute kicks in or I just switch Vonage numbers and the end...lol!

Got a call, when I picked up there was some message asking for information. This company is KCA Financial Services as listed above. They're a collection agency for many companies. Don't bother calling the number listed on their website, you'll just go round and round in the system. Don't leave a message and most certainly don't leave your ss# when prompted. Call 866-503-9018. Press 2 when prompted but don't leave a message. When they prompt you for 0, press 0 and you'll be able to speak with someone directly.
