Not scammed... 2011-06-06 21:36:17 Prank Call
I received a call from 888.599.2011 telling me that I had won a 2 day/2 night cruise to the Bahama's but I needed to give them a credit or debit card over the phone in order to register. They claim to work for the Caribbean Cruise Line and that I my call was transferred from a different number. They said I had contacted one of three companies, Your Baby Can Read, Instant Slim, or Arthritis Relief. I have not contacted any of the companies. If the cruise is only 2 days/2 nights, how do they get to the Bahama's in that short of time? It takes one day to get there and one day to get back. That is two days, and one night. Where does the other night come in if you have used your two days. When I questioned the man (Damion) he stated that you are only on the island for a couple of hours! I reported them to the 877.682.2351 number, thanks for the phone number.

I got a call from this number. I had a voicemail message. No one said anything. Sounded like a party in the background. I'm not going to bother calling it back.

I have been called 5 times and received 4 messages offering a free cruse. Today I finally answered my cell phone, waited a few seconds, as there is a brief pause, then spoke with Michelle Colon-corporate ID # KB9934. Miss Colon pronounced her last name as if it were spelled like colonge, a pleasant smelling fragrance. From my experience colon is actually pronounced "coal-en" not "ka-loan" and to my knowledge, fours years of medical school followed by four years pre-med, the colon tends to be FULL OF S**T! I did not giver her my credit card number.

yeah, i got that call too. They offer you a 'free cruise' that actually costs about 65$ per person and whatever other fees they can tag on. It seems like a scam, I expressed mild interest before I knew what it was, and they claimed it was a 'one-time offer'. That one-time has extended to calling me every other day. I haaaaate solicitors...

I called the number back and the guy said that 888-333-1180 hadn't been used for at least 45 minutes.
The call came in about two minutes ago. He said he is "sort of a taxi company" that big companies such as Intel and the like, in Silicon Valley uses. He said it was a mystery to him.

The number 888-333-1180 ia a SCAM they keep calling back if you dont answer. Dont answer because the same you won than tell you, you have to pay $118 for leaving the country or somthing like that. When you people win somthing they dont have to pay anything, most of them even give you money to other thing while you are at the please. So i knew that it was a scam wen they called me the 1st time i may only be 15 but i know what is a scam and what isnt so grandcaribbean...get your scam together before you try to scam pepole. If you cant even scam a teenager, a fifteen year old then you know your not gonna get a abult,so get your scame together first get atleast sounding like its not a scam and like its gonna work then try again because you not gonna get anyone because you sound fake....
P.S. Your number dont even look real...

Total scam. Don't call them back. They will tell you that you won a freee cruies and then ask you for a credit card number. When you say that you don't have the money they keep [pushing the isse saying that you won't have to pay for anything right now if you put it on your credit card. When I told Andrew I couldn't affort it he transfered me to another guy. When I told him that I couldn't afford it, he transfered me to Elizabeth. I got really fusrtated, asked to see their website, and the woman couldn't even give we their website without putting me on hold to 'get that information.' The entire time I was on the phone with these people there was obixiously loud background noise that did not sound like a corporate office at all! When I finnaly got fed up with their stupid sails pitch and told them that I was not interested and thank you for their time, Elizabeth got very nasty, very quickly and pretty much hung up on me...
DO NOT FALL FOR THIS AND DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY OF YOU FINANCIAL INFORMATION!!!

these high pressure pitch so-called sales persons. The elderly are their prime number

This number has called me 3 times because of "Your Baby Can Read". I won't give out personal information on the phone and they can't seem to send the "free" cruise info without a credit card number. What I don't understand is if I'm buying Your Baby Can Read you would assume I have a baby. Why call me between 8:30 & 10 P.M. It's a scam I'm sure.

I HAVE MY PHONE # LISTED ON THE "DO NOT CALL" LIST AND I STILL GET CALLS FROM TELEMARKETERS. HOW DO I STOP THEM.

They are still scamin and still callin. Usually 2-3 calls per day EVERYDAY!!! I've come to recognize their many phoen numbers and I just sent it directly to voice mail. They still don't have any info on-line to send a stern email or letter to cease and desist :-(.....over the thxgvg holiday I may try the calling them over and over. Maybe then they will delete my number...I know people have to work and I'm sure those employees are as frustrated in their jobs are we are with them calling us.

POSITIVE REPORT: I kept getting calls that interrupted my work day so I called it to ask that they not call me any more. Not only was I deterred from getting my name off the list, but I was given the details of my FREE vacation. It's more like visiting one of those time share resorts because they try to sell you more and more and MORE. I am proud to say that I did not fall for the rest of their sales, but after getting all details and being assured that it was NOT A SCAM by David Newberry, I paid my port taxes and was very pleased thereafter.

We started getting "Caribbean Cruise Line" calls from this number recently. The very first message they left on our machine began with a sales-y sounding guy stating that if we wanted to be placed on their "Do-Not-Call List", to please call the following automated number: 877.682.2351. I just called it, entered my 10-digit number, and I was told by an automated voice that they had now added my number to their "Do-Not-Call List". We'll see what happens...
Lexy 2010-09-02 03:59:11 Unknown
Wow that gives me a great idea, why don't we all call their stupid number non stop all day and when someone answers just hang up on them. ;) In fact, maybe we should go into telemarketing so that we can automate calls that do nothing but spam the spammmers :) I'd pay bucks for a system like that!
Lexy 2010-09-02 03:55:24 Unknown
I saw the red flag go up when they asked about a major credit card so I hung up figuring it was a scam.
I'm really sorry to hear you got taken by them, that really hurts I'm sure. I hope they burn in a very hot place for a very long time.
