This is a recording CLAIMING to be sprint.  That doesn't mean it IS Sprint.  There are folks with accounts in good standing who are also receiving these calls.  It may be a phishing scam.

Sprint says this isn't thier number, likely a phising scam.  Use #3 from your phone to pay your bill.  Don't give you're password to some BS recording!!!

This is sprint. its a recording telling you that if you do not pay your bill with in the next 48 hours that your phone will be disconnected.

I just got the call. I think we all know where we stand and how to pay our bill when it's necessary or when we are delinquent. I wont touch that call with a 10 foot pole.  Something is not right.

I just looked this number up because I got a call from it but couldn't answer.  I am pretty late on my bill right now but it's good to know it could be a scam.  When I call and put in my payment from the #3 it always works out.  Better safe than sorry, just use #3!

I just got a call from this number on my Sprint cell phone. I sent my payment off 2 days ago, when I'm late they usually text me a message, Really sprint is so harrasing and I cannot wait till June when my 2 year contract is up with them, I was going back to Cingular but since AT&T took it over, they are just as bad as Sprint, so thought about going with T-Mobile or may just do a NON Contract and get a Pre-Pay phone.

I've received 11 calls from 3 different "sprint" numbers since 1/2/08!  My bill is due today, so no reason for them to call, not late yet :)  They left a message today telling me I am REQUIRED to call them to continue service?  I think there's something shady with these calls.  I've had sprint for years and I've been late on mailing a few bills yet, I NEVER had this before.  A text, sure but 11 calls in less than a week. Seriously?

funny thing is if it is sprint, whydo they have a weierd recording when they call, like if you are the person we are calling about, pls call us back at this number....and they want you to enter your password???????????

This is not really sprint.  Sprint doesnt need your password for payment info.  If it were sprint you may need to give your phone number but when it asks for the password it reveals itself as a phishing scam.  Customer service says this isnt one of thier numbers and reverse lookup has no info on it.  I would not trust that this is sprint.  If you get a call use the standard sprint numbers and call yourself.  Do not return this call.

Also, for the people who claim this IS Sprint--why would they contact those of us with accounts in good standing AND people with delinquent accounts?  I've e-mailed Sprint with the number and a complaint about this being a Phishing scam that they need to take care of.  Sprint usually text messages me if they need anything--and if your bill hasn't been paid, when you try to dial out you automatically get a customer service agent ready to accept your payment.  You don't get this crap.

I called Sprint customer service and they verified that it was NOT one of their numbers.  My account was in good standing with NO problems at all.  I think this is a phishing scam.

It is Sprint and it is an example of their pathetic attitude.  Because I had made an online bank payment to an old account number, I did owe them money.
The 888-335-6981 call was so demanding and scary, that I thought it was a scam to get an instant payment.  I called 611 from the phone and found that my hundreds of dollars payment had not been applied to the correct account.  But I have been a (too) long customer of Sprint PCS and have always found they have a real crappy attitude when dealing with customer issues.  At the close of the call, they told me if I wanted to complain about the 888 call, they had an address I could write to.  Had the tone of "Here's a quarter, call someone who cares."  Frankly all the phone companies have a "We are the phone company and we don't have to care" attitude.

It's not Sprint.  I called Sprint Customer Service for verification.  My balance is always current, and they said I have an excellent record with them.  There is no reason at all for these people to be calling me.

It's Sprint's Accounts Payable (or their internal Collections Department).

Sad part is that they repeatedly call sometimes leaving a message . . . and sometimes not.  The calls can come through very, very early in the morning or very, very late at night, which doesn't create a great client promoter score.  (I always feel that Sprint is harrassing for payment, upgrades, surveys, etc.)

I got the same call this morning from this number ....

I really dont think this is Sprint, as I contacted the real Sprint (I called them using the preset customer service number in my phone) this morning after receiving a phone call from 888-335-6981. They do not have record of calling me. After speaking to someone at the real Sprint and resolving my bill issues, this number called me 3 more times. I did not answer, but I called back and got an automated answer asking me to verify if I was the person listed on the account and an automated voice spoke my name. Please be weary of answering calls you do not recognize, as most of these are harrassing telemarketers or worse who trying to pry information from you.
