Calling at work and my cell phone these people are not real and it's agianst the law

I have received the same call.  They started calling on 4-2-14.  The funny and ignorant thing is that the first phone call was placed at 12:57 pm and was 8 seconds.  The person calling said their name was John Myers and his words got lower and lower and he decided to hang up.  He called back at 12:59 pm saying his name was Drew Davis.  The same voice and all!  

Have received at least 7 calls from "James Howard" over the past several months.  Always leaves the same callback number of 888-347-2365 regarding a "case no" and an alleged debt.  Says he is from local district court arbitration.  I live in the Los Angeles area and work in a law office.  Believe me when I say the district courts do NOT ever call anyone or threaten anyone.  Definitely a scam but extremely annoying.

so sad these people are mostly  from Africa  scamming people like you and myself they want you SS# and other info so they can rob you and your family next time they call tell them to to call your uncle at your local FBI center see how fast they hang up

They are going to put me in jail and some black guy by the names of Mr Howard is the DA waiting for me I said to them FU and hung the phone up it so sad that older people are getting scammed by they africans

856 581 6319 Same line from  same guy  36 hrs to prosecute "County Arbitration"bla bla...  When I refused to give this caller my SS# she hung up. These people are fishing for info beware. I am on the no call list.
I called Verizon and they blocked the number and added number to fraud list.

same thing with me.. good old Mr. Howard can take  a ride up the skyway.

This # 888-347-2365 is really starting to TICK me off. I have a pay as you go phone and they're wasting my time and money theirs! They call every 19 mins. today. Let me ask you would you pay a fee (50.00) for a cancelled appt. with a Dr.? I called them before the 24 hr. requirement, but they do not believe me. All I can say is bite me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Received call from "District Court Arbitration" 7/09/13.  I will not respond until a get an official notice from my "county of residence".

I received a call from  James Howard at this number today claiming it was a District Court Arbitration (from an unnamed district) contacting me regarding a potential litigation against me, and I was told to call back with case number 532179 within 48 hours. The call actual came from the phone number 603-513-0364, but the 888 number was the phone number left in the voicemail message. I tried calling the 888 number to find out how they got my phone number, and it went directly to a voicemail that said "due to a high volume of calls we would appreciate it if you left a voicemail and we will return your call as soon as possible". I made the mistake of leaving my name and then the case number, and said I wanted to know how they got my phone number and what this was about before I gave any information. I then tried calling the 603 number back, and I asked for James Howard - I got an informal voice that just said "OK, please hold a minute ma'am' and then put me on hold for almost a minute, when I hung up. I hope they were not able to geo-locate me because I stayed on the line so long.

James Howard says he is calling from district court arbitration for possible litigation pending against you and to call back 888-347-2365 within 48 hours. I don't owe ONE cent, these people are mentally disturbed.

This number 888-347-2365 called and left a message without the name of whom they were calling for, which is a Red Flag already. The message gave a name of James Howard with the District County Arbitration & a claim number given. And I have 48 hours to respond as a threat as well. My number is on the Do not Call list and this is outrageous scaring innocent hard working American citizens, like myself trying to provide a descent living for my family. The last thing I need is a threat of my rights in my home. I hope Kharma puts these people behind bars for disturbing the peace. I will NOT let people like this take away my freedom or rights! America be for warned, people are being victims from these Scammers and enough is Enough!!! Do NOT fall Prey to their calls or messages! I believe in Justice and may justice be served!!

I got a call this morning, then filled out a complaint on FCC.org. It didn't seem to quite fit, but it's something.

I received a call from this number stating if I do not call them back arbitration will be filed and charges will be pressed against me.

Second phone call from James Howard, District Court Arbitration.  Provided a case # and said 48 hour to resolve the issue and provided the number 888-347-2365 to call back.  Howard's a busy person.  Ignore.

Received two of these calls on a local government phone line, from a James Howard, seems like a recording from a District Court Arbitration stating a case numberXXXXX and to call within 48 hours to avoid further litigation in your District. Ends with Good Luck.  No person's name is mentioned on who they are trying to reach, the calls just comes with the message, so they are calling and leaving a recorded message and  information on an incomming local government voice mail line.  Have been instructed by security to record and save messages . Also reporting and forwarding calls to local PD, Attorney General, Attorneys for office, FTC, FBI.  Instructed not to call these people who are obviously scammers and to not engage them.  Call came in two weeks ago with 48 hour notice and then again on 6/19 at 5:04 pm. #'s left on message to call is 1-888-347-2365 but # calling is 512-765-9355, they also use various numbers which we are tracking and recording. Now that they have called into a local government office, so it makes it a bigger offense.

I have also received multiple calls from a phone number 830-386-3411 which returns to Seguin, TX. There is a recording when I answer stating that they are "James Howard" with "District Court Arbitration." The recording attempts to sound official and states to call a different (888) number and tells you to provide a case or claim number within forty eight hours or ?face legal consequences in your residing county." I suspected this was a scam and called the phone number from a private line and provided the less than intelligent sounding person the case/claim number. After doing so, I asked what this was in reference to. The incompetent scam artist quickly realized I wasn't buying into the scam and began to question who I was and what phone number they called. I asked this person again what this was in reference to. At this point, the crook stated that they had the wrong person/phone number. However, knowing that they had the wrong person/phone number, they continue to call me today. To make a longer story shorter, I did some research online and discovered that a lot of other folks were being harassed by this number and other numbers claiming to be ?James Howard? with ?District Court Arbitration.? The complaints also mention phone number: 888-347-2365. Some of the complaints indicate that these people could be debt collectors. If this is true, then these people are the biggest group of poorly trained individuals I have ever had the displeasure of wasting one minute on the phone with in my entire life on this Earth. I owe no debt and have extremely good credit. I have already filed a complaint with the FTC and would suggest that anyone else being harassed by these numbers do the same. In addition, my phone number is registered with the government's DO NOT CALL REGISTRY. If these people are from a credit agency, then they are using bullying, intimidation, and threats which is highly unprofessional and inappropriate. In conclusion, this does not appear to be a collection agency but a mass SCAM of some kind. However, if this is a collection agency, then they need to be investigated for threatening innocent people as per the recorded statement: ?face legal consequences in your residing county" if you don't call and give a claim/case number within forty eight hours.

THIS IS A SCAM ...JAMES HOWARD AND STEPHANIE WASHINGTON ARE ALIAS NAMES USED BY MULTIPLE PERSONS WHO ARE TRYING TO COLLECT MONEY THRU SEEDY TERMS AND NEGOTIATIONS.  I HAVE REPORTED TO FTC AND SO SHOULD YOU IF YOU GET A CALL FROM THE NUMBER 410-630-4290 AND ALSO FILE A COMPLAINT IF YOU ARE ON THE DO NOT CALL LIST.  THIS IS A 3RD PARTY COLLECTION AGENCY NOT ABIDING BY ANY LAWS AS WELL AS THREATENING TO FILE CRIMINAL CHARGES .  NO ONE IS EVER ARRESTED FOR OWING A DEBT !!! ALSO I HAVE REPORTED THEM TO MY LOCAL SHERIFFS OFFICE/ SCAM DIVISION.  PLEASE REPORT AS I HAVE TO STOP THESE TERRORIST FROM THREATENING YOU AND YOUR FAMILY .

I just got a call today from Sherry Owens at x 305 in Missouri at 314-627-1024. She said James Howard would be contacting the attorney in St. Charles County to sue me in court next Thursday.  She was very rude. I had  paid they 4 payments before realizing this was a scam. My bank investigated said it was fraud and gave me money back. This company is actually bases in Washington DC. But say they have attorney's all over the US. I think its just a scam. The bad part is they know my social security number and the model and make of my car. I guess we will see if I have to go to court on Thursday.

Yes this is a scam. Don't pay them anything. Make them mail you something in writing that this is really owed, and who the creditor is.

These people are calling me several times a day, everyday. The call comes in on my caller ID as 210-338-8834. The message is from someone named James Howard. He says I have pending litigation against me and have 48 hours to respond. He gives me case # 462042, and says I can call them back at 888-347-2365.

Just got a call from James Howard, supposed County Arbitration Division threatening me if I do not return the call immediately to 1-888-347-2365.  It is a computer recorded message that claims further action will be filed with the county authorities and that I have 48 hours to call and make arrangements to meet with their agency.  Then he leaves the message with "Good Luck" statement and further insistence to call the number listed above.  This number calls several times a day.

Hey paula I got the same call from a stacy washington and  i started paying these people money every week so far they have gotten $150 dollars out of me  same payday place  as yours  and she stated the county that I lived in to as well. So are you saying that this really is a scam ? I just dont want to keep giving them money every that is not for real , but dont want to go to court either.

I received same call from this James Howard said was in arbitration dept. and I had to respond within 48 hours or he will send my complaint to the local court. It is against the collection  law to threaten and misrepresent yourself saying you are someone else. They use your area code where you live at but leave a toll free number for you to call back on.

This is my second round of getting calls 2-3 times a day from these morons. Last time they made up a story about looking for someone else & would remove my #.  Really, my # came up again for someone else. Hate that these idiots scam & scare people into paying fake bills!
