I just got the same call said same thing

Got a message from a friend of mine saying somebody called her about me and it was very important. Gave me a claim number. I called them (from Google voice) and they said I was in a breach of contract from check into cash and I had to settle with them that day do avoid being served "official documents".  I told them I had no money to give them at the time, and I would call back to set up a payment arrangement. The guy got very belligerent and ended the conversation with "Good luck" and hung up on me!! I did a little searching and couldn't find any company listed by their name... All they told me was the company was called Mutual. So today I get a call from a local number. I ignored it, and this guy left a voicemail saying he was a locator and I had until this evening to settle the matter with "the firm". I call the number back to ask about an address to send a debt validation letter. Get this... They can't give me their address!!! They have just been hired by another compay to collect. I ask who, so I can dispute the debt with them.  Again, the won't even tell me this company's name! I have to wait for this locator to find me... They hired a "local investigation company". I ask for that company's info... You guessed it, they can't disclose the information!!  I was blown away. I tell them I'm going to call check into cash directly, and they seriously told me I wasn't allowed to call them.  
Crazy. I asked them if they were a collection agency and they said they weren't, that they were a pre-litigation firm. Not a collection agency but I am supposed to pay them money?? They said if I wanted to dispute the debt or anything I had to wait for this locator to serve me with these official documents. I asked what these documents were... They couldn't disclose that information. I hung up right then.

I got threatening calls yesterday at 545pm and this morning at 608am.   Same exact messages.  I called them and found out the first name of the person they are looking for is Jenny.  The birthdate is wrong and they asked me if I got notices in my house in Texas.  I've never been to Texas.  I'm in California.  So they told me to disregard the message.  It's crazy tho because they already pulled up my info.  Is there a way to get these people in trouble?  They put innocent people in such distress and they have not even verified if that's the right individual?

They had a "locator" to call me at work and tell me that he was on his way to serve me with papers. I was advised to call 866-319-2328 and give them a claim number to avoid the embarrassment of being served at work, then he said, "You have been notified" and hung up! I called the number and they were completely rude! I spoke with Quincy Graham at ext 315, Chris Jacobs at ext 309 and a host of others who refused to verify any information about the debt in question. They had an address that has never been mine, an email address that I had for a business back in 2008 (yet the claim was from 2012) and the last 4 of the ss# was incorrect! I tried to get more information about the company and how they supposedly acquired this debt and was advised that I just needed to pay my bills or deal with it in court! Even worse was the fact that during the time period that they claim the debt was secured, I was in the hospital....

i want them to stop calling me!!!! why hasn't this place been shut down?????????????????

I also got threatening phone calls from Nicole Martinez at this company. i called the police. they told me to give her their number, they would love to speak with her!!!!

Mutual financial partners is in Tempe Az. They hve been in business since Jan. 2013. They have no legal dept. A "Mr Rodes" states if you want to file a compliant he will decide if it should be forwarded to the "legal" dept or not. When I mentioned they ddnt have a legit website he hung up on me. So I called back and asked for the info again. He hung up on me again. I looked them up under BBB they just applied to them april 4 of this year! And they are filed under "collections" ! So dont let them scare you with that "pre litigation" crap!

these idiots have been harrassig my husb and answer i for weeks now.. for a rent a center loan from 7 year ago. wouldst give me a company name and was very rude. constantly hanging up on me!!  yes its Doug and britney .. i just listened to all my messages n they r exactly to the word how these others are. no longer worrying about this.

i just received the same call on yesterday from someone named DOUG, he called from a local 901 # first, then said in a rude tone, that i needed to give him my address and employment address so he could  serve me papers on a claim judgement. I asked him what firm he was calling from and he told me (in a rude tone of voice) that was irrelavent! then he said he couldn't believe i didn't know why he was calling. Then he said he suggest i call 1-888-356-7438 to find out what this claim judgement was about. I hung up on him and then he called a family member and harrassed her about getting a message to me of the same nature. He never gave the company he was calling from.

I just starting receiving calls from "Rebecca" from 1-888-356-7438 who has left two very threatening & harrassing messages.  Below is basically what she said:

1st message:  This info is intended for (my name), claim # (  ).  I'm calling you in reference to an order that was submitted to my office today.  I need to verify your address to be able to present you with an offical claim at your address & place of employment.  There are charges and a claim against you.  At this point, you have been given the chance to contact "The Firm" to discuss this matter immediately.  (My name) you have been "Offically Notified"

2nd message: (My name) I'm calling again to inform you that you were given the opportunity to contact "The Firm" that handling your charges.  I have verified your address to present you with your offical claim.  There are charges and a claim against you.  You have until I reach you personally to address this matter with "The Firm".  Now - this will be your final notification.

The tone of these messages I guess was intended to make me feel threatened & almost bullied so that I would be scared enough to contact "The Firm".  Little do they know that they only pissed me off because I dont appreciate anyone calling and and leaving messages in the tone that she did.  

I was also just contacted by a old friend of mine that I have only spoken to like 3x in the last 10 years.  She said that she just rec'd a phone call from "Rececca" stating that she was calling from a Locating Service and that Rebecca told her that I had her listed as an emergency contact or family member & that I should call her at 1-888-356-7438 & gave my friend a Reference # to give me.  Crazy thing is that they contacted my old friend via her phone of which I dont even have my friends phone number!!

Receiving calls from mike adams 888 356 7438 he is calling three to four times a day stating that he will file charges against me. I do not know who this is but I know this is a scam. If you have paperwork to send why not send it.

WHEN I TOLD THEM I WAS GOING TO FILE HARASSMENT CHARGES FOR ILLEGAL DEBT PRACTICES THEY STARTED CALLING MY FAMILY MEMBERS AND HARASSING THEM.THEY REFUSE TO SEND ANY TYPE OF PROOF OR GIVE A PHYSICAL ADDRESS WHERE A CEASE AND DESIST LETTER CAN BE SENT, ONLY A PO BOX NUMBER IS LOS ANGELES CALIFORNIA, EARLIER IN THE DAY I WAS GIVEN AN ADDRESS IN WASHINGTON DC, 20 F STREET WASHINGTON DC 20001 THEY CLAIM TO BE A PRE LITIGATION FIRM BUT REFUSE TO GIVE AN ADDRESS WHERE PROPER PERSONAL SERVICE CAN BE GIVE IE SIGNATURE CONFIRMATION.

I got a call from the same company.  Did they ever send you papers??

Got this call asking for a relative not living in our home.  Said she was serving charge complaint against this person and gave charge number and phone number for this person to call immediately.

Mutual Financial Partners. Don't know anything else. I was called and told "I've been notified" that they are sending documents.
