I just got this call.  Pressing one only got a message that I would not be notified of credit increases or extensions.  It did not say pressing one declined the credit. The call said pressing 2 would get me more info.  I pressed 2 and they said "Thank you.  You have been approved.  Goodbye."  No mention of any company was made.

We receive calls at least twice a day from this number. I thought that was what Do Not Call registry was for?!?!?!?

I just received a call from this # 1-888-366-9070 not 5 minutes ago I thought it was a strange call so I typed the # into google and noticed a warning for this # and many other people that have received this call as well. I think I will send an e-mail to all the people I know about this # and I think all of who reads these should too.

I received the same call from 888-366-9070 saying that my recent application for credit was approved. It was a recording and it said a call for "blank" couldn't understand the name but same as the person above it sounded like Juan.. It said that I had been approved for 10K and that I needed to press 9 or call them back to get my credit line and card sent to me.

Getting calls from them, too, despite being on the DO NOT CALL LIST.  Does anyone know who they are and how to get them to stop from calling?

Receive calls from this number just about daily even though my number has been on the Do Not Call list since 2005. I reproted them to the FTC and my phone company.

Received a call with a voice mail message.  Instructed to Press 9 and I would receive a $10,000 dollar line of credit on a credit card.  

I did not call after listening to the voice mail message.

The call starts something like, "This is a call for <blah>" then it tells you your app was received and your platinum credit line is approved for $10K.  I say <blah> because you can't understand the name.  I thought they said <Juan>.  Anyway, it smelled fishy, especially since I didn't apply for anything and they gave no bank name.  I agree - report this to your phone company.

THEY DID NOT IDENTIFY THE CREDIT CARD COMPANY THEY WERE CALLING FROM.  I CALLED THE NUMBER ON MY CALLER ID TO FIND OUT WHO CALLED. THERE IS A PHONE TREE STILL NOT IDENTIFYING CO. BUT FORCING YOU TO CHOOSE BETWEEN ACCEPTING THEIR LINE OF CREDIT OR NOT BEING ABLE TO RECEIVE IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT CREDIT.

They call at least once a day. I don't know how this happens. Trying to get a number for Onyx Platiumn who keeps taking $ out of my checking account

I was called by a 773-668-1632. Then when nobody answered this 8883669070 called.
I have been registered with the government to have my number unavailable for solicitation - opt out. I will report them to the site.

keep calling my number telling me i am approved for a platinum card. it is a scam do not answer or give any of your information to them

not five minutes ago i received a call from this number 18883669070 with the same voice message stating I was approved for a line of credit that I did not apply for. This call came after repeated calls from 517-931-2236 and when answered the call is disconnected. when I called back a message states the number is not valid. This is all a scam so be weary.

They Identified the company as Chase.  Being suspicious, I didn't press "1", I hung up and called the number directly. If they were Chase, there would be a way to get around the message tree by pressing a combination of "#'s and 0's". This did not interupt the call so it is definitely bogus.

I got this number 888 366 9070 about 10 minutes ago. Googling it, Ha. This is a scam #. I do not do any business on phone.

this number call me today, they ask for my account number. i try to pass 0 to talk to a person i didnot get anyone. so watchout i smell scam.

Keeps calling me at work.  From other posts I've read this appears to be a scam but I can't find any business name to go with the number.  Voice message only said I'm approved but didn't give any info on the name of the business.

Got this call late last night (Sunday).  Only caught the name Credit Activation Hotline.  Called this number back and could not get a person.  The number one was given to be taken off their list and not get more information.  I tried 0 etc. to get person, not a chance!  Called my local police who said sounded like a phishing scam and as long as you don't give info you should be OK.  Followed up with my bank this morning who said the same thing.  I am also on the DO Not Call List and have reported it to them.  DON'T give out any private information!
This IS a crime.  Look how many of us they have upset!

I received this call on 3/11/08 wanting me to activate their credit and then there was only an option to be removed.

Just got this call as well. Definately a scam. Prior to that I was getting calls from Unavailable that would hand up right away.

At 8:09p CST, I received a call from 1888-366-9070. It claimed my recent credit application had been approved, and I qualified for $10,000 credit. It asked me to return their call. I never applied for a new line of credit. I pressed 0 four times and nothing happened. I chose not to return the call, and to report it.

same deal as others, however, I have a fraud freeze on credit bureau accts due to stolen ID and theft. The initial 90 days is nearing it's end. COuld they have gotten my number that way? How do I now it's not related to the orignial theft and that someone has applied for a card in my name?

I just got this call. Sounds like they said it was for "juan."  I've had this call several times before, so when it said to press 1 to stop calls (or something like that) I did.  Then it said "Thank you for activating your account."  Did I just activate something?

Received call at 9:27 am. I did not answer because it was an 888 number (usually solicitor). Whoever it was left a message on the lines of "..plus thousands of dollars of credit everyday..$10,000.. blah, blah, blah," couldn't really understand. Also, did not hear name of company that called.

I got a message on my machine this morning that went something like this:

Your platinum membership with your $10,000 credit line has been
approved. Your new platinum membership will also provide you
over 150 valuable services and thousands of dollars of savings
on everyday and major expenses.  Plus, as a platinum member,
you're guaranteed to receive a stored value visa card.  All you
have to do to activate the processing of your membership and
$10,000 credit line is press 1 now and I'll transfer you to our
activation dept.  So if you want more buying power and would
like to start saving money immediately, press 1 now.  Please
press one now or call us back at <long pause> 888-366-9070.

I've never applied for a credit card and I'm almost 100% positive no one else here did either.

Also, when I called and told them I own a bank account, they told me I could get a mastercard with credit limit between 300 and 5000 dollars with a 4.99 fee.  it also says something about agreeing to terms and that if you haven't gone to the website to read the terms, press 1 and they'll call you back.  But it never gives a web address.  
    I never gave any personal information and advise that no one else does either.

This is a scam.  They offer you a platinum card with a $10000 limit and then want your banking information. BEWARE and report them to your phone company.
