I keep getting calls from different people. You can tell something isn't right. I hear other people in the background making calls. They do identify themselves as a collection agency. But not who they represent. Left message to send me documentation. lets see what happens.

Interesting telephone number as anyone who looks at this site can see 7 pages of comments.  That should be the first warning. Enterprise Recovery contacts businesses also!!  They are extremely non-professional, rude, and speak in a condescending tone of voice.  The caller asked for someone not here.  When told there was "nobody here by that name". She nastily said "oh really!!!" and hung up. They have been told that more than once. Where they obtain our telephone number and then call for random names is not known. When they are told this is a business and not to call again; of course they contine to call. Enterprise Recovery is definitely not a professional business and doesn't care for FTC rules and regulations, since they do not pay attention to what they can and cannot do. Perhaps the FTC should fine them in an amount high enough to get their attention.

Received a call from 888-377-5000 at a business. Caller asked for an associate that doesn't work at this location. When he was asked if this was an emergency message or an attempt to verify employment (a question that weeds out bill collectors, scammers, etc), He said he'd already verified employment and wanted the direct dial number for the associate. When I declined he became very upset and demanded to speak to human resources. I put him on hold and disconnected. He called back angry and wanted to know if I had hung up on him. I reassured him I had not and transferred him to a corporate 'dead' line number: an unused extention with a voicemail that erases automatically every few days.
And, since it appears that shills for this company frequent these boards: It is my sincerest desire that eat s*** and die. Please call back & we'll do it again some time.

I'm a Canadian living and working in Canada. My employer just got a call from this number by a man identifying himself as Richard Rios. He gave them my Social Security Number (which is interesting because, being CANADIAN, I don't have one) and said he would be faxing over a document for her to complete and send back. I have asked her to forward me the document when it arrives. I have never lived in the US, banked in the US, or gone to school in the US. I hope I can clear this up quickly so that it doesn't become an annoyance for my employer.

Just got a call from a John Wright from this number calling for my ex-husband who provided my number and took out a new loan. What?!! He asked for my ex-husband by name and said he took out a student loan. I've been divorced over 3 years, my number is 2 years old and my ex-husband left the US in 2007. I asked if it was a collection agency and he said he is not permitted to say..I told him to let me know when he finds him, I'm looking too!

They called looking for my mom who has been deceased for 2 years. I just told them they had the wrong number and hung up. I should have cussed their a***s out.  Collecting for student loans? Impossible! My mom had not been to college in 40 years and back then people paid their own way through college and/or had scholarships. My mom has never had a student loan in her life! These people are frauds and I hope the company and its employees are stricken with tuberculosis.

A call from someone who told me her name is Nicole Pleugger, whose office is supposedly located in Oakbrook, Illinois, phone number 888-377-5000.  I grilled her right from the beginning as a SCAMMER, when she insisted mentioning my having a student loan in default, which is not true.  I told her all the information she was requesting could  be located on the internet; "this is the 21st century", none of us have any privacy any more.  She insisted and repeatedly stated that she was trying to help me!  I asked "help me for what?"  "I don't need any help!"  She told me she was from a collection agency.

When Nicole mentioned The Department of Education had submitted information to this office; I became furious because in the past, The Department of Education had used contractors who seriously failed to properly complete the initial request.  I mentioned that I had recently written documention to ... So why would the DOE submit my info to another lousy company.  The DOE should be handling this matter altogether.

She also said I needed to speak to another department to complete the application process.  What application process?  As she continued to mention other information, I repeated that she was a SCAMMER.  After she could no longer handle the situation she placed her supposedly, supervisor, Pedro Luna on the line, who informed me that I should have received a letter and when I insisted I had not, nor have I ever heard of this company... if I wanted payments to stop that I needed to speak with the disability department to complete an application.

He then asked to call me back.  We hung up and he phone back , repeating the same nonsense mentioned earlier.  Sounding very convincing, he transferred me to some one named Carla.  When she mentioned completing an application, I stated that I was not completing any application.  After back and forth, I asked to speak to Pedro!  He was on another line but I was given an extension #2110.  I told Carla I would contact the Department of Education on my own and confront them about  my documents being submitted to a Collection Agency.

A few moments later, Pedro Luna, yea right!  Phone me back insisting that I needed to complete an application; I mentioned that I would not complete another application at all and that I was going to phone the Department of Education, he willing gave me a number 800-621-3115; and told me to following the directions.  Of course, I have local phone connections, but I decided to dial that number...it immediately asked for the social security number to be type in....I immediately hung up and looked up Enterprise Recover Systems...SCAMMER!!!!!

Started receiving calls from 888 377-5000.  The caller calls everyday now.  Does not leave a message and the caller ID identifies the caller as "unknown."  I don't know who this is but I wish that they would stop calling; send me a letter by mail instead in this way I have evidence of harassing phone calls and then I can take legal action to stop these calls.  Cowards!!!!!!!!!!

I recently started getting calls from this number on my cell phone and they don't leave a voicemail. (I typically don't answer any kind of 1-888 or 1-800 number and let voicemail pick up. If its something legit I can at least know who and where I'm calling back). Today when I went into work my boss handed me a note saying call Robert Black back at 1-888-377-5000 ext. 1812. I just started this job so I was surprised anyone would try to reach me there. Also - it's kind of embarrassing having that kind of call come into somewhere I just started working. They want me to verify my own information when I call which just sounded kind of weird.

They are a collection agency.  If your student loans are in default that is why they are calling.  Call them back, they will help you get out of trouble and defaulting on student loans is big trouble.

I live in Fl, and do have outstanding student loans from NY??? The man that is harrassing me and my son also (he does not have loans...he's trying to contact me through my son) leaves his name as Richard Rios and the 888-377-5000 number for me to call back......the one time I did speak with him, he wanted me to verify the last 4 of my social security number......I'm at a loss here.......any other suggestions of who to contact to verify the validity of the ers??
