I did call and told them that I wanted a physical address so I can verify legitimacy with the RCMP they then told me that my invoice has been zero`d  out and that I didn't owe them. Which was obvious because I never received anything from them.

This company called Eco Plus Solutions called and said our order was off back order now so they would ship.  This is completely not true.  We have never ordered anything from them.  Then a roll of fax film shows up along with a 425.12 invoice.  What a huge scam.

Got a call towards the end on last year.  They claimed they had a contract for our fax machine service and were sending up toner.  When we got the bill for $425.23 I looked into it further and found we do not have a contract with them.  I told them they can come retrieve their erroneously sent toner at their convenience.  We are a not-for-profit in the middle of the Arctic so I am not holding my breath.  

I filed with the Better Business Bureau and they don't even exist. Not to mention the Canada post document was forged. This is a complete scam after calling the RCMP in Quebec I am angry to find that they cannot do anything. This makes me sick. I hope that more people complain or do more investigating so that they go to jail for a long long time.

These guys called and said they were resposbile for the 'warrany and maintainence' of our brother printer, got a coworker to supply the model number of our printer and said they were shipping out some toner 'free of charge'. The toner showed up without any paperwork and was brought into my office, where it stayed until I received an invoice for over 5 times what the toner is actually worth! I shipped it back to them, phoned and told them not to call again, and that they are sad and low people preying on small business owners. These guys are slimy, sneaky, and pushy on the phone. DO NOT feel bad about telling them off. AGGRESSIVELY.  

Scammers called my part time guy and got the printers information and said he was sending out 2 boxes of toner. I called them today and told them not to send them as I have researched their scam and do not want them and told him to never cal here again. 888 377 5450

Got a call from Adam Stevens today proffeesing they had secured some toner cartridges at the old price for my office. I assurred him that we had don't dealt with ECO PLUS before. I told him I did not need anything from them.

I recieved four toners from ecoplus, none of which were ordered, but have since gotten rid of the original box. What address can I ship the toners back to? The postal code provided on the invoice is not recognized as valid by purolator, canada post, etc.

Let us be clear:  We do not want any toners or any other scam calls from telemarketers from Echo Plus.

These people are targeting us as well.  A person named Adam called last Friday and spoke to our secretary.  She was tricked into giving them information about our copier. When he told her we're getting toner she said that she needed to check with her boss (me) first. A few days later, a guy named John called our secretary again and asked for a payment of nearly $ 300.00. Our secretary became suspicious and started questioning this so-called purchase they claim we made. She then tracked me down and told me about the phone calls.

I had been the victim of a toner scam by a company called Laser Recycling (also from the Montreal area) about 5 years ago. I suspect they are the same company.  The Laser Recycling scam was very similar to what Eco Plus is trying to pull. Someone cold calls a company, speaks to front end staff and tells them toner for their make of copier/printer is being sent.  Some toner (lesser quantity than promised by the caller) arrives via courier and an overinflated bill arrives a few weeks later.  The toners were a lower quality, not authorized by the manufacturer (aka VOIDS MANUFACTURER'S WARRANTY!!!), and leaked into our copier causing $ 2000 of damage. Any remaining toners from Laser Recycling had to be thrown out to avoid more damage to our copier. It took us months to stop Laser Recycling from sending and billing us for more toners.

Yesterday, John from Eco Plus called again wanting payment.  Luckily I was in the office this time.  There was a shouting match during which I told him we did not, nor will ever purchase anything from them, that I knew this was a scam etc...

John stated that they have not sold or shipped us anything (Then why are you calling twice for payment John????)

I advised them to never call our office again, and if they do, my legal counsel or the RCMP will be contacted.

Only purchase manufacturer's recommended toners from a local authorized dealer!

They have been in bussines for over 10 years, and they only have 1 padge of complaints.

I work for a large company and was targeted by this group. They inform you that they hold the contract for repairs of  your fax/copier and that they will be sending a service technician to visit your location. They also say that they owe you free toner as a part of your service contract.
I am fairly new to my position, and I work in a new office. Sadly I fell for this. (I have received multiple calls from this company, this is the first time they've followed through sending product) The product arrived approximately a month ago, the bill today. $400.00 for a $60.00 toner cartridge.

Had the same issue.  Just received our invoice in the mail today for $425.23.   Does anyone know how to return to sender when all they provide on the invoice is a PO box?  Any help would be appreciated!  Thanks in advance!

I was called by Dave and he said that the toner was on back order and he was sorry i took so long to come and he will ship it. I didn't not agree to order toner, I got in trouble at work and now have to figure out how to fix this mess after m boss said it was a scam

We actually had the guy DAVE show up at the office and act like he was our fax machine maintenance company. We too are a non profit and our Summer Student at the front desk made the assumption that he was legitimate. Sad

I have just ran into my second dealing with this company. They had sent 6 boxes of toner throughout the summer last year until we realized what was going on. It took 3 weeks to talk with someone from Eco Plus Solutions and they became very confrontational right away and continued to argue with my admin. They have never had the right printer or model number for our office, and we order all of out stationary materials internally within our company which we still require a PO.

Eco Plus Solutions were never paid, and nor will they ever be. They just tried pulling the same scam on us once again and kept saying that my admin spoke to an Adam and a John.

I reccomend that anyone who has ever heard of this company, knows someone has has dealt with them, get the word out on how they try and do business.

Almost the exact same thing happened as in the note above. DAVE called to confirm our address.  As we had already ordered a toner for the printer from a Legit local retailer a few days earlier,one of my staff gave him her name.  We refused the package and the UPS driver wasn't overall surprised.

Same situation happened to use. Their sales rep "Dave" called the office and spoke with one of our summer students and implied "our" cartridge was on its way. The sales rep knew what kind of printer we had and asked for me - I am the general manager of the organization and my name along with the organization's phone, fax and address are listed in numerous places as we are a key tourist information centre for our area. The cartridge arrived and was received by one of our volunteers. Then the invoice showed up from a company we have never had dealings with - Eco Plus Solutions at PO Box 14 Mercier, Quebec - and the invoice was far more than we normally pay for this item from our long-time office supply company!

I called Eco Plus Solutions and informed them that we are not their customer, we did not order the cartridge and we had no intention of paying their invoice and that we would return the cartridge. The representative was unprofessional and quickly became confrontational saying things like "how would we know what kind of printer you had if you didn't order this" and "your employee ordered this" (we a single employee centre until the summer months). I insisted we didn't order nor would either of my two summer students or volunteers have ordered from a company outside of our community (we support buy local campaigns) or from other than our regular supplier at my direction. Ultimately, the representative was simply continuing to argue and be confrontational and our conversation was going around in circles so I hung up.

At this point we will be returning the cartridge - shipping their cost (COD) and will not be paying the invoice.

The best option to deal with these types of companies is to state clearly on the initial phone call that you order office supplies elsewhere and hang up.

Sadly, Justice Quebec (http://www.justice.gouv.qc.ca) - the equivalent of BBB in Quebec handles complaints concerning member businesses. Obviously Eco Plus Solutions as a scammer telemarketer company is not a member!

I'd already dealt with this a couple of days ago and sent it back my Canada Post.  Told the post office it was from a scam business but she wasn't interested in this detail but did send it back at no cost to me.

I can see how some larger companies could easily fall for this, especially with an employees name on the invoice.  

Sad this guy can't put his efforts and creativity into something more productive and legit.  He's obviously not dumb and it takes some organizational skills to pull off this scam.

Dude, if you're reading this, find some honest work out there somewhere!

Received a toner cartridge from Eco Plus Solutions last week that we didn't order.
Apparently, they spoke with one of our staff and got a name to put on the shipping label.

Haven't received an invoice yet, but expect that will be in the mail.

Just got off the phone with them and the guy on the phone was pleasant enough, although tried to convince me that our staff had made the order.
Told me to write "return to sender" on the box and send it back.

Clearly, they fish for places to send cartridges, send them out and hope to get paid.  If you don't pay, Canada Post will ship it back for free so they're only out their initial postage ... $20.

Not cool.

Our office received a call he had my name, the name of the person who sold us the copier, sounded like he new what he was talking about, Until I started asking him questions he got evasive wouldn't supply his name nor the company he works for was Eco Plus Solution.He did leave his number which brought me here.

I know I didn't order anything on the date he specified as I was off of work and do not conduct business on behalf of our office on my vacation time....Anyways, I am surprised that the person he said would call to confirm my order hasn't called. Hmmm I wonder if everything is ok? NOT

I just made my payment for the order. I spoke with a nice young man on the phone. The toner fits and works perfect.

These guys used to be Laser Recycling Plus out of Laval QC but must have changed their name. Still using the same script to try and get your equipment information. Wish the police in quebec would actually do their jobs and lock these scumbags up instead of beating up students and charging little girls with harassment for taking a picture of graffiti.

Had a man call and tell me he was from Eco Plus Solutions and it was time for our "annual warranty checkup" on our fax machine.  Wha?  Okay, even assuming I haven't fielded calls from these guys (under different names) for the whole three years I've worked here, our machine is only about a hundred years old, so this is believable.  I tell him we don't have anybody slated to keep our fax machine "checked" and he acts confused and says something about "having it written down it's a part of our package."  So I ask him to hold for a moment while I check something, and he says yes.  I google the company name so I can have some fun reading the reviews back to him - and when I pick up again in about 30 seconds he's gone.  Almost like he realized I was going to call his bluff.  Surprise.

PS - this site really needs a "scam" section under "call type" because "telemarketer" is too nice a term for these guys.

We were told it would be free....it is going back as no one has gotten back to me nor has anyone returned our calls.

We just recieved a $70 toner from them as well with an invoice for $475.oo, it is on its way back!

These are "toner pirates" trying to trick you into giving your printer information and will then send you "ordered" toner for high prices and expect payment.

Do  NOT give them any information about your business, and be clear that you have no business with them.

Our non-profit org fell for this several years ago, and now know how to recognize a scam.
