This is a scam trying to get you to enter your credit card information.  Obviously do not call.  I do not have an account with any bank named "Greenville Federal."

Actual Text Message:
From: 5000: Notice / This is an automated message from Greenville Federal.  Your ATM card has been suspended. To reactivate call urgent at 1-888-395-8531.

Just received the same type of call but the number listed on my cell phone as the caller was simply "101", nothing more.  It was completely automated and indicated they suspected my account was compromised and they wanted me to follow the prompts and enter information.  It indicated the call might be monitored.  Fortunately due to the work I do I recognized it as a scam.  The first prompt asked for me to enter my 16 digit account # which I obliged (with a bogus one) 1111 2222 3333 4444 to which I was promptly disconnected.  Never enter or provide any of your account or personal info to an incoming caller.  Always ask for their number and then check it against your credit card/statement before calling back.

I got a message today that said:  Notice/This is an automated message from Weld Schools Credit Union.  Your ATM card has been suspended.  To reactivate call urgent at 1-800-395-8531.  I don't even belong to this credit union.  How would we report this--and I would like to block them from my cell phone.  Thanks.

This is a fraud/phishing scam.  I work for Greenville Federal Credit Union, which is located in South Carolina, and we've been receiving phone calls about this all day today.  We're not associated with this phone number in any way, and as of about 5 minutes ago, the # was showing as disconnected.

It's not just  T-Mobile.   I have Sprint/Nextel and got the same message.  The scam was on our news channel Saturday.  I just received the message lastnight.  It has been reported to the Sheriff's Department here in Darke County.

I got the exact same thing - also a T-mobile customer from the 937 area code. I wanted to check online before I did anything though since it seemed suspicious. Thanks for reporting it to t-mobile!

Got message from Greenville Federal to reactivate suspended ATM at 1-888-395-8531.  Same msg on three different phones of family members all on the T-Mobile network and all in 937 area code, none has an acct at this bank.  Called T-mobile & reported it.  Don't give out any ATM or Debit card info if you decide to contact the number.  Seems to be a scam.
