I was called twice from this phone number: today and on Thursday. I said, "Hello," and the person hung up. I doubt that it is from GCI. It would be super unprofessional for the company to be calling all their customers and hanging up on them - especially, after office hours. Plus, my husband has never received a call from this alleged marketing phone number.

Received a call from this number on my cell. I did not answer and no message was left.

Got the call, no message, and the same error during callback as everyone else.
The shrillness of the whistle in the error is uncharacteristic of my service... I wonder if that's a real error...

Also no ads up on CL, though this number belonged to a company I used to own... years ago.

I just received a call from this number. Answered the call. There were 2 clicks, and then they hung up at the 5 second mark.

I let it ring through. No voice mail.
called them back....."sorry, your call cannot be completed".

Just received a call from this number on my cell.  I answered but all I could hear was a echo of my own voice.  No one on the line that I could hear.

I got a response, it was from a marketing company selling additional movie channels for GCI. So if you all have GCI and this is the number you have on file, this is why they're calling. I asked them to not call back with additional offers.

Same, got the call and didn't answer.  I wonder why only one person actually heard a voice and no one else did?

Just got a second call from 888-402-0828 in the past 2 days.   Caller didn't stay on the line and I think it was yet ANOTHER one of those bogus, mysterious, irritating, spam calls!

Is it just me, or does there seem to be a LOT more of these creepy calls from various mystery numbers lately?  >:0(

I wish there was a way to take the # and label your phone screen as 'SPAMMER' or similar so that when they call again, your caller ID reminds you that it's them again & you don't accidentally pick up.    You could do that on a cell, but I only get these calls on my home phone..

PS:   To this awesome site "WhoCallsMe":   This is an incredible resource for those of us receiving these calls to report them.  But you know what would really make this site stellar (and make it stand out above & beyond any other site like this?   .... If you added a forum, or chat.. (probably a forum)...  I think it would make it easier to see if people have figured out how to rid themselves of these annoying callers or to find out what others have done to stop them.

Anyway - it's just a thought..  maybe that would be more trouble than it's worth?  :-/  .. I'm just thinking out loud I type of how to stop the non-stop spammer calls.  :p

Have several calls on ID from this number.  Leaves no messages

Got a call from this number today it has a +47 then 888 402 0828   I answered they hung up.  I too live in Alaska.  

I just called GCI to ask about the number and they said...... (after being on hold for a while)

They had no clue if it was them or not but they would look into it.   HA    How professional is that?

just called gci and they cant find out anything the only way to get to the bottem of this creepy mess is to file a police report and do a search from the switch board main frame or get acces to the fusion center in anchorage

I also just got a call from this number.  There was no-one on the other end, and the number can't be called back.  Funnily enough I am also in Anchorage.

yes, i keep getting calls to my cell phone from this number.  never answer #s i don't know so i have no idea what they want. tonight i got a call from 4026823716 - another unknown that left no voicemail. i use ATT. i wish i could block them....

called yesterday, they hung up,  just got a call again and let the answering machine pick up and again they hung up leaving no message.    I have now blocked them with phonetray and they will get the message that I donot accept telemarketing calls.
