Received this text from 888 407 6178 stating that I need to call in regards to Harris Bank Credit card .
Which I found out is an ongoing SCAM since 9/4/10... or maybe they change phone numbers around who knows... Aside from all of us having tools like this website to inform one another of these types of SCAMs... my concern lies w/ T-Mobile making easy for these criminals to get our cell no.

Both my wife and I received a text from this number last night on our T-Mobile phones.  No call or message on our home phone.  I checked my home email and nothing from Harris.  I called out of curiosity and it was an automated computer asking for my debit card number.  Naturally I hung up.  This is a SCAM for sure.  A bank will never ask you to do this.

please do not respond to recent text messages, emails or messages asking you to provide your credit/debit number.  This is an attempt to defraud and trick you into providing the number and pin.. NO financial will ever ask you to provide this information in this type of method.  IF you have released this information contact your fiancial institution as soon as possible.

This is the second time that someone tries to scam me DON'T even call these kinds of messages back they only want your information so they can steal your identity.

Received a text from this number on 9/21/10, saying to call the number, which is suppose to be Harris Bank. Note: I do not have an account with Harris Bank.

Got this message on my TMobile phone:

First, look at the email - Harris Bank does not use ".net"  They use ".com."  Also, "harrsbnk"?

Second, I have no idea why I would be getting a notification from Harris Bank. I have never had a Harris Bank account and never will.  

Bottom line, if you get this text DO NOT respond.  It's a scam.

I received 2 texts from 888-407-6178. Now I am receiving them stating to call 8884109606, with no spaces or dashes between the numbers, so appearing even more shady.

I got a text from this number telling me to contact harris bank

I've gotten at least 2 text messages from this number and I know for certain I don't have any type of account with Harris Bank. Disregard any messages and do not give them any information.

THis number is being used to facilitate a Phishing attemtp by fraudsters , who claim to be HARRIS BANK, in order to obtain your debit/credit card number and possibly your PIN....Disregard this message and dont provide any information.  HARRIS, nor any othe financial insitutuion would ever ask to provide this information to them via phone, text, voicemail.
