this number keeps calling me and leaving messages that I owe money from an old payday loan (inaccurate and untrue) and that they are ready to initiate legal action against me(?)   I tried to call them back and the phone doesn't even ring or connect to that number....it appears to be "non-existant"!  (??)  VERY annoying

If you have an android or iPhone, you can download one of several call blocker apps that will instantly send a "you are blocked" message to the caller, and your phone doesn't even ring.

On your cell phone make a contact called Ignore. Set it to go directly to voicemail. Add this number and any other number from these people to the Ignore contact. It isn't the best solution, but it keeps your phone from ringing incessantly.

They have called my cell over 20 times. I have NOT done business for them (nor taken a payday loan EVER) and they keep asking for a name that is not me.  They are some sort of payday scam.  They claim I submitted loan papers.  I have told them 3 times to remove me, I am not that person, and I do not want further calls.  It stopped the calls for a couple of days once, and I made the request to stop calling several times on one of the other days and the calls kept coming.  The first guy said he'd remove my number, the second said she'd "make a note" before they called back an hour later.  The first day I had 5 hangups registered on my voicemail and 2 messages.  Since then I still get random calls from them.  My cell is a by minute service, so I pay to erase messages or answer the phone which makes me even more annoyed--though frankly I would pay more if it would make them just STOP calling.  I had to put them in my phone directory under "SCAMMER" so it comes up when they call.  I've had a random call from them here and there since, though not the 6-12 times a day it had been.

I cannot see what anyone would expect to gain from irritating a person.  You can't think they would actually use you for any service after irritating that potential customer by spamming them with calls.  It wastes their time and mine.

I have received 20 calls in 3 days from this number.  On the 10th call (and 7 messages later that I had to use minutes to delete from this cell) I told them they have a wrong number.  They are asking for some name that is NOT me.  3 more calls a different day, and 7 calls yesterday--5 of which came after I AGAIN told them that person is not at this phone number.

I've only had this cell for 3 weeks, it's possible the old owner did lend from them.  I've reported them to the Do Not Call registry, and to my state's attorney general.  It is very annoying. I can't block numbers on my phone.  I've had to add their number to my phone book, so that I can assign them a ringtone I know to ignore.

The thing is, they are not trying to collect a debt...they claim an application was received from someone at this number and they need more info.  There is no reason for them to call sometimes once an hour.  What is the point if someone has said no?  It's certainly not a tactic that will inspire someone to consider them a reputable lender.

I have never called them, they call every 10 minutes and after a few hours I had SEVEN messages and 11 missed calls.  I explained I did NOT call them, and they are calling my TRACFONE and sucking up my minutes.  The guy was nice, said he'd take care of it and they wouldn't call again.  Now it's Monday and here we go again.  I have no way to block their number and it sucks up several minutes just deleting their relentless messages.  I have now had 14 calls from them, and 9 messages.  It's ridiculous.

There are many payday loan companies and you are correct about everything you posted. I am not someone who gives my info out freely, but in this economy, this is a new form of 'fleecing of America' and sometimes you cannot make ends meet any other way - even at 800% interest.

Is it the fact that I am involved in an 8-year long civil lawsuit over a former marital home a squatter is living in and I am trying to evict from another state and my legal bills are extraordinarily high? OR is it that my cat suddenly keeled over and was kept alive by a vet for a month only to tell me Christmas morning he needed to be put down and to pay in full immediately? OR is it the fact that I got laid off a fantastic job of 8 years in 2008 and have struggled at my tender age of 40 to keep working full-time in the same industry at $25,000+ less a year? OR is it my family simply does not care in my time of need? It is all of the above for everyone and much, much more.

I downsized my apt and still own my 10-year old car to pay my bills. I am not a deadbeat. BUT one thing I did see on my bank statement that I wanted to communicate was something called 'mymoneyleaf.com' that charged my account $29.95, unauthorized. When I called them they claimed to be a 'partner' of all of these payday loans and when I insisted I did not give them authorization, nor did I ever hear of them and threatened bank action, they amazingly recinded the debit because they stated another person who had all my info but changed my name by one lousy letter had applied for a payday loan in the amount of $400 on 6-16-12 which was definitely not me. Then my bank closed that account. Once that account was compromised I called any accounts I had and they were all agreeable that they would freeze the accounts and allow me to pay off with a pre-paid debit at my convenience so I would feel safer. So far so good EXCEPT FOR one mentioned here. They are still trying to debit the old account even though they were properly notified of the compromise and pending investigation. I will be notifying them via atty - most companies have affordable legal plans that can help with individual debt at no cost. Someone pray for me.

Don't get scammed by illegal payday loan lenders, especially if they cannot even speak English.  Check with your state's banking authority and if you find the lender is not registered in your state, the company is likely not legitimate or can not enforce the loan in your state.  Ignore harassing telephone calls and tell them to put it in writing.  If they are not sending you anything by mail OR unwilling to give you their mailing address, don't waste any of your time with the company.  THEY ARE A COPY CAT SCAMMER.  Pass this on, its time we fight back against all those scammers out there.  Thanks!
