You need to realize that the information that these companies receive is from PUBLIC records.  These companies do not make up this information.  They are available through the courthouses all accross the country. Sometimes the information is incorrect and these companies have absolutely no possible way of knowing that it is a mistake unless they talk to the individual.  I have worked in sales all my life and some of these companies are NOT "scammers".

I am on the Do not call list.  These folks called and claimed I had an unpaid state tax lien and wanted to "help me".  Unfortunate for them, I had just last week called both my county and state regarding my records and to make sure there wasn't anything I wasn't aware of......There isn't anything there!!!!!  And further, I have NEVER had any state tax liens.  When these scammers called back I got the number above with extention 9468.  When I confronted them with the facts and asked them to prove their claims, they hung up!  SCAMMERS.

I answered the call but no one was there(typical). Did a reverse phone look up and the number came back as www.noretainertaxhelp.com. Must be a sales call at tax time. Thanks alot Do Not Call list. I am being sarcastic of course.

This number keeps calling me, UGH !!!!!!
