I get calls from this number.

I received a call on multiple days.  Today I answered and the recording said changes had been made to my account and I should call custome connections at a certain number if I didn't make any changes.  No changes made so I called charter directly and not on the recorded number in the message.  No changes to my account were made.

I got two calls from 888.438.2427. Both calls were just to confirm my technician appointment with Charter. If you are getting repeated calls from the same number that are unwanted you can block that specific number from calling your number ever again. Duh.

Not charter. It's a company that operates by selling packages for charter known as a reseller or affiliate of charter. Also they dial numbers randomly. Therefore they don't have to refer to the do not call list.

If Charter would spend more time on improving their customer service instead of advertising so much, they may keep themselves out of bankruptcy once again! Unfortunately

When are these legitimate orgs going to realize they need to be more forthcoming with info when they desire a response from their customers?  Frankly, I'd fire the public relations mgr. and their boss, then hire someone with a soul!

I received a call from the same # and it was Charter Communications.

Charter Communications calling me to let me know a service outage in my area has been resolved. The thing is --the outage was resolved FIVE HOURS EARLIER, so thanks for being so prompt, Charter.

Received call from # saying my internet access had been restored. Had requested a call back when called to report outage.

That number left me a message asking me to take a four question survey. Said press one to take the survey and when I did the message repeated. I was stupid enough to repeat the message twice. Hate charter wish another company would takeover.
They are a blood sucking monopoly in my opinion.

Got a voicemail from a funny sounding man saying that he had spoken with my dad about a "special package" of some sort. But he never identified himself or the company he was working for. Honestly it sounded like an elaborate prank. If this was really a Charter employee wouldn't they start with "Hi this is [name] from Charter and I'm calling about [something]?" Yes. Someone before me mentioned that it could be a scammer using Charter's number or someone possibly breaching Charter's security. Sounds like something Charter needs to investigate ASAP.

OK, someone called me from this number at 5:40 a.m. today and left a message they wanted to discuss my bill.  My bill was paid up to date.  What the hell?  Calling at 5:40 a.m.!  I'm so disgusted, I'm going to look into another provider this weekend.

We are on the national do not call list and they still call us.

Just got a call from Charter wanting me to complete a survey on their recent service call. Did not answer, just like they do not answer when we call. Funny how it is when we recently went to their local office when they started charging for channel boxes. Told them that their prices were to high and was looking at other companies all of a sudden they lower the cost by 10%+. Still looking around for a better service and will get rid of them if we can.

The calls from this number were out of control! Picked up a call blocker from www.procallblock.com, and now I can have dinner or a nice snooze without being interrupted once again!

Got a call, left no message.

Have to be anonymous for fear of retaliation! 8 different phone calls from 8 different numbers from aug. 6- aug 17. REALLY. I MUST SAY ITS ALMOST Harrasment. How can we stop this?

1) Pick up your phone and dial *60
2) Press "2" to add numbers to the call block list
3) If you want to block the last incoming phone number, press "#" after you've pressed "2"

what is CHARTER???   never heard of it but this number keeps calling me.   ANNOYING when it's so late at night

I get called by this number and have charter too. Odd thing is it appeared as a number I have in my contact list. though their area code is different. my out of state friends is 860 and the number that called is a 1888 number. So I called my friend and asked if they called. They did not. I goggled the number and like everyone is saying they have charter. They call again and I press charges I am on the do not call list. end of story.

Thank goodness I have selective call rejection service with my phone carrier CenturyLink so I simply blocked this number. No annoying calls for me. Technology is wonderful.

Check with your ph carrier to get the service ASAP.

If any one has  Android Phone or Smart Phone. Google Market has Callblocker and it Rings once and then hangs up and when you put their number in. We are going to keep get these types of calls. They have quite a few blockers that are free I tried them all just about but the CallBloker with the +shiel worked for this phone.

I Called the Ph. No. Back and got an automated System that Said My Bill was Past Due and I needed to Make a payment or My Service would Be Turned Off, Then asked Me if I Would Like To Make a Payment Now. I Said No and the Recording Gave Me an Extension of a week to Make it, so I Took it. No Live Person was involved. Guess The do Things different in Nevada.

I just spoke with Charter about renewing my contract today, and 10 minutes later I got a call from this number.  I called Charter back, and they said there's no issues with my renewal, and added that they did NOT try to contact me on my cell phone.

04-07-2013 @ 12:29 PM - 888-438-2427, TOLL FREE CALLER:  = This is number for Charter Communications Cable TV.  When phone rang, I saw it was a toll free number and caller ID showed it was a "Toll Free Caller".  Let the answering machine take the call.  When I listened to the message, it said something about an "automated survey".  Since I don't do surveys, glad I didn't take the call.  The number is registered to Charter Communications in Cahokia, Illinois, from what I've learned through internet.  We just changed to Charter back in July, and they continue to harass us with their stupid "bundling" deals, or, call wanting to do a "survey".  They may not last too long with me.
