Nationwide Mediation Service appears to be a fraud. Payed $1000 June 22, 2010 and have nothing to show for it three months later. the guy I talked to is gone and no one returns my calls. don't trust posts of good results i suspect now they are fakes.

I'm reading these stories and I'm in shock on the postive feed back. I can tell you they scammed us, we paid $1000.00 as asked by NationWide Mediation Services and this as we where told will cover all fee's on our existing loan with Citi. They took the $1000.00 and we signed a contract that they would get us a new modification loan with Citi saving us $700.00 a month on our payments. Not only did this not happen,but NationWide never even contacted Citi nor did they send any info to Citi in writting. We where told by NationWide that the process, because of the economy and all the refiancing going on this would take 2-3 months and you do not have to make any payments to Citi as we our handling all of your loan modification.Citi contacted us with there attoneys to let us know that we are in the process of FORECLOSER on your property and the only way to stop this from happening would be to pay the three months plus late fess and attorney fees within 30days. After begging Citi for TWO days they would not budge. Thank god I had the ability to sell some family merchandise (Jewerly and other valuables) to save our home plus we got help from a family relative. Bottom line, look at the BBB at the horror stories about this organization and good luck trying to get a hold of any rep from NationWide by phone or email. These people are F***** SCUM BAGS.

This company is a complete joke. They took my money and provided no services. Just like every other post on here they do not return phonecalls or emails. I call every day at least 5 times a day and speak to different people. My loan mod has been denied. they knew about if for weeks and did not tell me. I now have a sale date on my house that is less then 2 weeks away. They have stolen so much more from than the $1000 I paid them. I have spent nights awake cyring and now I have lost my home and have nowhere else to go. Thanks alot. They are liars and crooks. PLEASE do not use this company. I will write reviews on every website I find regarding this company in hopes that I help 1 person save their home because this company will not.

I read the BBB report and its a lie to say there were no complaints.  There were three.  It mentioned the type of company but i looked at others under the same category and they all dont have F ratings.  I also notice on other places that i have read on NMS that the positive reviews were from people who created an account the very month they gave the review for NMS.  And that is the only review they have give, on anything. I have also tried calling back but I always get the Voicemail.  They mentioned they were working with my mortgage company but when i contacted Citi they said they aren't working with NMS and don't refer loans out to 3rd party companies.

your you lender has a processing fee that they put on the back of the loan and they do not give you a fixed rate at the lowest possible number, maybe you should check into it alittle more

They have been calling me for a couple of weeks. they called today and said they have gotten my intrest rate down to 3% and was trying to get down to 2%. I thought I would investigate and see if they were an ok company, but the BBB gave them a F rating. So now I'm not sure what to do. I need the help now or I'm going to lose my home.

i just signed the docs. I did see their F rating with the BBB.  i asked Steve Freeman, who is a  rep for them, about it. He said that their company refuses to pay 800.00 a month to the BBB for a good standing. I told him that I also noticed that there weren't any complaints listed and that I looked at a lot of reviews before I made my decision. just about all the reviews I found were favorable for this company and usually when you look for a problem with a company you find a lot of unhappy ppl and somewhat the truth. the amount of the retainer is 3000.00. we agreed for me to pay half now and half when it is complete. I really do hope this works. I will definitely post either way because if it works ppl need to know they have a way to help get out of a hole. Of course if it doesn't I wont hesitate to do what is necessary to get my money back and put them out of business!!

i was aware of that BBB but if u do ur research carefully next time, you would see that it says that they are past due which is why they have an F raiting not because they are not good! my brother owns his own company and he dealt with the same thing, he was apart of BBB and he had missed a payment and automatically received an F rating!

I went with this company. I got denied by NACA and seriously it was the worst experience in my life!!!!!! After, I paid someone to do it and was approved within 90 days...I did nothing! it was the best money I spent. I guess some people are "suspicious" but who isnt. as the old adage goes " you get what you pay for." Good Luck everyone who is trying to save your house...This company help me just MY opinion.

same thing with me.  they at first told me that they couldn't charge me up front but when it came down to details a couple of days later they threw in that amount to be paid upfront.  Like I said they said they would name it a fee to get around the recent CA law.  honestly it's a big jump to pay that much and like someone else said the person I talked to said a lot of little white lies.  they sent me a generic contract to look over and there is not written mention of a money back guarantee and is pretty clear that they do not guarantee their services.  I would not trust that money back guarantee option.  I finally went through my loan mod through NACA.  They are free and were pretty thorough with my loan mod.  A couple of things about them is that their website isn't the best and after you create an account and submit your info you have to setup a phone counseling session which can be about 2 weeks in advance.  once you setup the session you need to send a ton of info to them (fax is better) so they can have all of your info when you call them.  they will key in the info and ask you a lot of questions and come up with a solution to your lender.  I've googled them and some people were happy with them and some were not.  I would take that anyday over some mysterious company that wants $2K from you.

I have been contacted by Nationwide mediation Services and have seen "testimonials" but still none of the past or current customers have explained what the cost actually is. I was told by the person that called me they are asking for $1500 up front to be held in an escrow account and they have a 100% money back guarantee based on performance. I am waiting on this guarantee in writing. I would like to know if "Actual customer" Mike Hayes, Linda cruz, or anyone who has done business with them can tell me what upfront $$ was asked for and were they actually given a money back guarantee.

Its half to start and the rest when its done. I think thats fair. I asked why I couldnt pay after it was done. They said once people get the mod there is no insentive to pay them. People just take the mod then dont pay or return the calls. I actually can see people skipping out on the bill so to me it make sence.  I dont live in california so I dont care. I need help and I was reffered by my buddy who actually already got a mod with thier help. I hope I am right in trusting this company...i will post after see whats up. Wish me luck

I don't know whether they can deliver on what they promise but the fact is that they want money up front which in CA is illegal.  I'm sure they window dress it and call it a separate charge to get away from getting into trouble but the bottom line is that the law was meant to protect people from paying up front and getting burned.  why can't they charge after a mod is done.  I'm sure people would be willing to sign a contract to that affect.
