I received a card from Freedom Financial and called the 1-888-443-3648 number on the card to consolidate three large credit cards into one monthly payment, as I had gotten myself in over my head with debt. I gave them ALL the information they needed, including my ss number and a blank voided check for them to take my first payment from my checking account.

Give them time. I was scared also, I even had to go to the courthouse to say I received the summons. Then I got a letter from I thought a law firm but all they are is debt collectors that went through open court saying how much I had to pay them it was a lot higher than what I owed. I let FFMGT take care of it, I faxed the stuff in because they wouldn't anwser the phone. Well I thought I wasted all that money but a few weeks ago I got a call saying they settled with the collectors. Thank God. So get some money in your account that they can work with and they will take care of it. Hope it works out for you.....

I have tried calling this company about 7 times and it seems the phone number provided above isn't working anymore.  1888-443-3648.  I am going to look into this more and write a letter to the Better Business and take it further if i have to.  I am fed up with this company and it seems once they got their payment, they stop cooresponding and the ext to the person I was working with is "no longer available in the system" which is what was stated on the answering service.

I did not receive a call from them I actually called them. I heard a commercial on the radio and gave them a call - I gave them enough information to check my credit but nothing else. I'm not sure what to do now. Did I actually give them too much?

BOGUS!  You really think that major financial institutions are smart enough not to fall for that???  The loopholes will sometimes allow for your credit to be fixed, but not in debt relief.

Debt settlement does work, but from my research you have to do it with a reputable company.  There are a ton of companies out there, most will try to give you the lowest payment just to get your business, then not perform as promised so it costs more and takes longer.  I've done my research, and picked a company that the United States Organization of Bankruptcy Alternatives (USOBA) recommended.  You should call them before you give any company your personal info, 877-768-7622.  They oversee the debt settlement industry, and suggested Financial Freedom of America to me. They are one of just a few companies "accredited" through USOBA, which USOBA told me means a neutral 3rd party regularly audits them to make sure their clients graduate on time, and don't pay more than promised. I am happy with them and they have a nice website (www.financialfreedomofamerica.com), they settled 2 of my accounts so far, one of which they knocked 66% off of. Financial Freedom of America's number is 800-794-0983, I recommend them.

They are a debt settlement company. Its a big scam to take your money. Although you may not get any of you money back, you can rest assured that congress is working to put them out of business. Therefore the losers that call that a career (they read these post hey losers!) Will be out of a job. Furthermore, seeing that it is a b***s*** job, they will not be able to put it on their resumes, a result of which will set them back profressonally. You see easy come easy go. To the debt settlers, there is only one way to make money, hard HONEST work. You see easy come easy go, this same time next year they will be on monster searching for jobs with fabricated resumes. Don't worry they will pay :-). Good day all.

I would like to make a quick comment here regarding debt forgiveness.
1. Credit cards: Credit cards were born in one or two states in America. They needed to find loopholes to get into all other states and they did. They are charging American consumers exorbitant interest rates. Remember when you signed your fist contract with a credit card?
Remember they keep sending you new contracts that you more or less have to accept but you never sign for them again? They can send you new contracts but believe it or not, you can do the same in return. When they cash your check, they're on the hook with your contract. Do you know what that means?
Well, you might not, but a company I know does. They wipe out all of your credit card debt and clean up your credit afterwards for a very modest fee.
They are beating the credit card companies with their own weapons.
Check this out: http://stompyourdebt.com/

2. Mortgages: Did you know that the Federal Reserve is a totally private bank? Owned by the wealthiest of wealthiest families on earth. Did you know that not all owners are publicly known? Did you know that there are no  reserves? Fort Knox is empty!!!
Did you know that the Federal Reserve makes money out of nothing (remember a private company) and lends it to the government and the governments of the world??? Do you know how many loans they make, backed by taxpayers' money, where they know they will never be paid back??? Did you know that YOU'll pay it back? Did you know that this is part of the reason for inflation? Remember how happy families in the 50's were. Billions and billions of dollars in debt are forgiven by the banks each year (and turned over to the taxpayer to pay back of course). It is possible.

FFM is a FRAUD.
I don't have time to explain.  By the time they MAY settle your debt, you'll get sued and rack up more debt.  And that's if they settle it 98which by the way ruins your Credit Score), but here's a great chance they don't settle especially given their Attorney's Richard lenard TWO SUSPENSIONS for embezllement & citation for misconduct as per California bar.
Check BBB for this joint - it's not a good rating, it was "F" but noe someone "fixed" it to neutral?
I gave them a complete pack of personal info and then cancelled at the last moment and disable dmy checking acct# they got, oipened a new account.  Otherwise these frauds kept bugging me abou tmy bank account and now I see why - they wanted their fees paid first & quick, and then leave me wondering if I am a fool!

CANCEL & DISABLE ANY BANK ACCOUNT YOU GAVE THEM TO USE FOR PAYMENTS SO THEY WOULDN'T TAKE ANY MONEY FROM YOU.
INSTEAD GET MORE WORK, MOR EINCOME AND DEAL WITH DEBT, NOBODY WILL "HALF" IT FOR NOTHING AND IF THEY SAY THEY DO, WELL GOOD LUCK!!!!  The only escuse from debt is death, severe crippling illness, war, natural disaster, and things like that, but Bailout?  Agagin if you like to take risks, go ahead, but you've been warned.

I heard an ad for some special package of services under the name "The Bailout Group" for debt settlement on the radio recently and I decided to give them a call. Unfortunately, I have already provided them with a lot of personal information with the exception of a proper voided check or payroll letter and the entire account numbers and latest statements of the debts I wish to settle. I'm an idiot for doing my research after the consultation and I hope I'm not too late since I didn't finalize anything yet. I strike it as fishy that their name now is Freedom FIDELITY Management and that their web sites are poorly organized and full of grammatical errors. Also, it just seemed way too easy to be approved. For anyone out there reading this, is it too late for me? Should I notify my bank as a precautionary measure? I have yet to receive a call from a compliance representative. Once that happens, I hope to decline participation on a recorded line. I'll just take responsibility and pay more than my minimum payments.
