This may have been someone calling on behalf of AT&T to perform services for AT&T although just not very professional.  I have had several of these re: the reinstall/new install of U-Verse lines which was finally confirmed with an actual AT&T representative.

Careful folks, this "sounds" legit. I didn't answer, but listened to most of the message and it was not a robocall, but an actual person. If hadn't got about 100 of these calls from various numbers I might have fell for it. Came here to confirm my suspicions that this likely was not AT&T.

Getting these too, also from this number: 888-851-4247 Same people obviously because the calls come close together and same BS about internet changes. The thing is, ATT IS making some changes right now and these people are hoping you've heard about it and will be tricked into doing something stupid.

Didn't pick up.  Knew it was a scam call. Phone rang 3 times & they hung up.

This is a scam. Claims to be with at&t and is absolutely in no way affiliated with the company. Press them for information like why at&t doesn't show up on the caller ID, and they either can't answer or just hang up.
